'The property has some safety issues that need to be addressed. Master bed was comfortable. Didn’t sit outside as there were too many bugs. The host was communicative prior to arrival. '

'Beautiful scenic view of the river. First time fishing for my son, who absolutely adored it! Thank you for the host for being so generous and letting us borrow his fishing supplies. Neighbors were nice. The state park was fun to visit too. We grilled, made s'mores, relaxed, and had an amazing long weekend. Would highly recommend. '

'We were very pleased with layout, cleanliness and location of this VRBO. The home was furnished nicely and had everything we needed except for a corkscrew but we had one in our car :) and a cheese shredder (or I couldn't find it). 5 Stars from us!!'

'We were disappointed in this unit. This is a very old building that needs a lot of work. The windows are filthy. The front door mats are bunched up in a pile on the front stoop. The ‘movie themed’ decor was chinsy at best. The parking area is filled with garbage, broken cinder blocks, a tire, and a junked car. There weee old shoes on balcony. The ‘landscaping’ was filled with garbage and debris. The check-in rules and regulations are extensive (requiring expensive insurance or $5,000 cash...

'This property was a major disappointment. The photos are heavily edited and don’t reflect the reality—shaky toilets, torn blinds, uncomfortable beds, and a serious bug problem made the stay unpleasant. The stairs are steep and unsafe, and the home is hard to access. The water behind the house is stagnant and only adds to the mosquito issue. Not worth the high price—would not recommend.'

'Communication with the host was excellent; they accommodated an unexpected change in plans and were very responsive. Most of my purpose in coming was to cook for my stressed out college student, and the kitchen was reasonably well-equipped with pots, pans, utensils and dishes. There’s a full spice rack, too. There are two Roku TVs and the Internet was adequate as well. '

'From the outside the home looks a bit run down, however, the inside is clean, well appointed, and updated with decor that has modern simple lines. Property manager responded quickly to questions about opening door code, and oven not working. Close to NIU campus and convenient to baseball stadium to watch games.'

'It’s super close to downtown Yorkville!! So in the months with better weather it would be perfect to stay and walk to the few restaurants downtown and little shops and the river area. We arrived a little early and the host let us in and was able to change the codes around so we could check in as it was cold out! So super accommodating helpful!! Also the garage is a bonus but anything larger than a mid range suv is not going to fit as parking is tight! The only issue we had was the neighbors were...

'This space was excellent for all of our needs and more! We have family in the area and we were able to just walk everywhere needed. Excellent restaurant across the street. We have walked by this space countless times in the past when we lived downtown and never knew about it. The train that goes by is loud like a train should be but just added to the charm of the area cant say enough great things about it. Cant wait till our next stay!'
