'Great location, also great atmosphere. My only constructive criticism would be to put a privacy screen in front of hot tub. There is probably privacy in the spring and summer from neighbors because of trees and bushes but around the fall there is zero privacy. Some people like myself like hot tubs in the fall season. Also the beds are too hard and stiff. Could not really get a good night's sleep. Besides those two things the place was phenomenal.'

'The house was perfect for our needs for a one night stay while in town for a HS track festival. We had a team pasta dinner between races and we able to make do with the kitchen supplies available. Host very responsive to questions. Thanks!'

'We really enjoyed our stay at the Restful Retreat! We loved how they had everything labeled so you don’t have to go looking for things. The bed was really comfortable, my husband said it was his best nights sleep he’s had in a year! Kim sent us messages checking in on us to see if there’s anything we needed. It was convenient to Winthrop University and within walking distance to a nice Veterens Garden. It’s also close to restaurants, grocery store. We would stay here again!'

'It was very comfortable for our long weekend. Plenty of cookware. The house is on a nice quiet street. It was very convenient to the Sports Complex and restaurants. Oh...and an ice maker is a definite plus, for me anyway! Kim was very responsive and made check in and out easy! We will definitely stay again next time we're in Matthews, NC.'

'We have stayed in Sara’s Shacks before so we weren’t concerned. Unfortunately we should have been concerned. We arrived after dark. Once I got into the house to turn the outside lights on, we found that the front porch light was burnt out and the back porch lighting was very poor. I messaged Sara about the front porch light and she messaged back immediately “I’ll send someone over to change the front porch light, sorry about that.”The next night we came back and no light. I messaged Sara “Again...
