'Gorgeous place and great service'

'Lovely historic property with great dining and views. No elevators- so be prepared for lots and lots of steps. Wish the rooms had a fridge and microwave. Everything was neat and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. '

'We were a bit worried upon arrival: The neighborhood looks uninviting at night... But when we checked in we were glad to be welcomed by a very friendly staff. The room itself was the next pleasant surprise. An impressive large, spacious Room with sitting area. The staff recommended us some nice restaurants, close to the hotel. We ended up at the German restaurant " Max's" which was at walking distance of the hotel. I would recommend both the hotel and the restaurant!'

'Sam was very pleasant and responsive. Great building, but needs some updates by the new owners. Location is right across from a park and close to downtown. '

' Came to stay here due to location near Shadyside hopsital, where I had surgery the next day. What a beautiful property. Friendly staff, especially our bartender. She was young, but easy to talk to and had knowledge beyond her years. We didnt eat here, so can not attest to that. Beds were confortable. Rooms very large and the interior was like a european hotel. Dark woods with Great history. '
