'We were a bit worried upon arrival: The neighborhood looks uninviting at night... But when we checked in we were glad to be welcomed by a very friendly staff. The room itself was the next pleasant surprise. An impressive large, spacious Room with sitting area. The staff recommended us some nice restaurants, close to the hotel. We ended up at the German restaurant " Max's" which was at walking distance of the hotel. I would recommend both the hotel and the restaurant!'

'A beautiful gem! This historic mansion turned boutique hotel is adorable. The original stained glass and carved wood grand staircase are breath taking. Keep in mind this is a 19th Century home, so the floors are creaky and the walls are thin, but there aren't that many rooms so it's not super busy. My only negative comment would be the ability for the room to cool down. It was a little stuffy and in our room the vent really only cooled the sitting area and not where our bed was located. 'We were arriving very late so I called to let them know that we were still coming and would arrive around 2am which was about 40min after I called. The employees manning the valet stand and front desk were at the front door to greet us at 2 am and were just generally great! cheerful, helpful, and speedy all of which was greatly appreciated after hours on the road'
