'This motel is on the main road (US-60 or Ash Street) but was quiet during the holiday period. It is ideally situated near Hill Street, which goes into the historic district less than a mile away. Fast food is nearby, as is hiking at Round Mountain Park. El Rey is a self-described "vintage motor court" so looks the part outside. But the interior room was large enough, the bed mostly comfortable, the spacious shower always had hot water, and the wall heater worked well, with the usual humming....

'I have been going to Alpine area for over forty years and when I found this cabin it is a gem! The cabin was perfect for my entire family with every amenity we would ever need. Close to Alpine and Springerville where you can go to all places to fish with easy access. The owners are amazing and very responsive for whatever you need. If I make it with all the family again I will be sure to rent this property as it is perfect!'

'Passing thru; nice place for a good night sleep. Affordable. Some good restaurants all nearby. Room spotless clean but could use a change of decor. Definately coming back in case I pass through again. '

'This is an older hotel, it is what it is. The ac unit was quite loud, and kicked on and off all night, making for a harder time sleeping. '
