'We loved our stay at La Villa Retreat! Everything from the way we were greeted with a wine tasting our first night, to the beautiful grounds, to our well appointed room, to the lovely breakfasts made it a great stay. One cool night we requested that the staff light the fire in our fireplace so it would be warm when we returned. Returning after dinner to a room lit by the fireplace was just delightful. If it wasn't so far away, we'd happily return often for a couple's getaway!'

'Een absolute aanrader. Wij hadden een privé appartement op een andere locatie. 100 meter lopen van de hoofdstraat van Franschhoek. Een super mooi appartement. Ontbijt hadden wij op de hoofdlocatie. De eigenaresse Michaele is super aardig en behulpzaam. Kwam ons zelfs nog stookhout brengen voor de open haard.'

'Kamer was ruim schoon en opgeruimd. Keuken is prima met alles wat je nodig hebt indien je wil koken. Badkamer is lekker groot met WC en wasbak. De eetstoelen waren wat minder omdat het moderne stoelen zijn met een open zitvlak en rugleuning. Indien je Tv wil kijken de zenders werken heel slecht. Bij het bed boven mis je wel twee bedlampjes. Voor alleen slapen is het zeker een aanrader. '
