'Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! 'The owner was extremely kind and helpful and he was interested in the countries the guests were from. The room was clean and well-kept, the beds comfortable , the decor rustic and authentic. The breakfast was limited (eg no bagels or bread) but a muffin or muesli-bar and a good cup of coffee from the lobby were enough to get started.'

Very nicely refurbished rooms to mid-century style. The beds were a bit too soft for our liking, but still verry comfortable.

Kelly, the manager, couldn’t have been More delightful. Preparing breakfast and always there for questions or advice on where to go out to dinner or tge next mountain to climb..
