Budgethotels in Winkelcentrum Alamo Plaza

'Nice hotel at the right location of San Antonio. Just a few minutes from the river walk and a few steps from the Alamo. Nice and clean rooms. Breakfast is good if you want breakfast burritos. The bar (all say happy hour) was a bit boring. Staff was friendly. The valet was pretty expensive, but that's the same at all hotels.'

'Groundfloor looks nice, but rooms are old and lifts are very small. No diner available, this can be bought in adjacent restaurant with the same name. We where told it has no affiliation with the hotel. Rooms are big but outdated and bathroom was also out of date and uncomfortable.'

'This location was wonderful, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The only downfall is it's in downtown where people are partying and playing loud music which we could hear. The people at the front desk and the lady in the breakfast area were great, very friendly and helpful. However it seemed like the lady the 2nd day at the front desk was not happy about being there, and didn't like to use words. The manager said she would take care of it.'

'It was extremely close to the venue we were attending. There were restaurants, Voodoo donut shop, pizza and ice cream all within a block or two. What I don't like is the parking. No one should have to pay $50+ to parking for 1 night. That is extremely ridiculous. SA Texas is not New York. Coming from the Ground floor, there's no signs telling you where the lobby is. Very confusing. Why do you have to ask for shower mat? The shower floor was dirty. The color on the television was blue.'

'The penthouse suite was so roomy and comfortable to stay in. I was able to do laundry, cook, and we truly enjoyed the balcony at night with the beautiful city lights. It was so close to the Riverwalk and all the good restaurants along with the Alamo and other fun things to do. The staff was so helpful. We would definitely recommend staying there and plan on going back ourselves!'
