'I grew up on Long Island but no longer have family there. Derek's house was the perfect place to stay while visiting for the weekend. The house was clean, the furniture was very comfortable, and the view was beautiful. Derek was very hospitable and available for help if needed. I would definitely stay there again!'

'The house is in a great location in New Rochelle, near to a train station to commute to the city and for family coming in on Amtrak from Boston. The main floor of the house is cozy with a lovely kitchen and lots of seating space. Bedrooms were a nice size and we all felt the beds were extremely comfortable. Shower was really nice, too. Owner was responsive and easy to work with throughout the process.'

'Me, my husband and 13 year old son came from NC to visit my mom who is sick. This location was close to everywhere we needed to go in Brooklyn. The accommodations were nice, clean, quiet, no issues with parking, and had everything we needed for toiletries. Communication with the owner was fast and easy. Would definitely stay here again.'

'Wonderful home and lots of space, located literally in the middle of everything you would want to do in Long Beach, or walk to the Metro and take the train into NYC. We even walked about 5 min to a public ice skating rink or 5 min the other way to great restaurants and The Laurel Diner that was delicious. Host was wonderful, attentive and quick with communication. Would highly recommend.'

'We booked this property for (1) night, 5 days before we were going to New York. We live in Maryland. Instant booking, no issues. I didn’t hear from the host at all. I messaged the host twice Saturday. The day I was suppose to be checking in. He then calls my cell phone and tells me that this rental is usually meant for 3-4 night stay minimum. No where in the contract/info/description said that. He told me he was going to cancel the booking because the property wasn’t ready! He must’ve just seen...

Excellent base for a stay on Long Island
"I stayed at the East Norwich Inn for a week last August while taking my daughter to the local University. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel is clean, the rooms spacious and quiet and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located and is also an excellent starting point for trips to New York City and Long Island. Highly recommended and I have booked another stay for the fall."
