'Gion Elite Terrace is a great homebase in Kyoto. The hotel is clean, the rooms are incredibly well designed, with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and more. The only downside (which is a larger issue with Kyoto in general) is that the property does not have much authentic Japanese charm or feel because it is largely (75%+) American tourists and staff are perfectly bilingual (a plus, but also a bit disorienting). If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience then this likely isn’t...

'A nice clean room with space to be able to open up your suitcase. Close to the Mo key park, bamboo grove and the temples. We’d definitely stay there again!'

'Vriendelijk personeel, schone kamer. Wel 'gewoon' hotelkamer met goede grote matrassen. Mijn reisgenoten vonden het kussen wel wat hard.
Locatie gunstig. Zo bij de metro en je loopt binnen 10 en 20 minuten de leuke gebieden in.
Handdoeken voorradig, badkamer goed.'

'This little slice of heaven has picked in an alley was absolutely delightful! The staff were very friendly and helpful the entire time. The room was very spacious for a room that had to accommodate a family of four. The location is actually quite convenient as well. Close to shopping, groceries, and the train system. 10/10 recommend!'

'The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and soaking in the Hina wood tub after a long day was relaxing and much needed. I definitely recommend staying here!'

'This is a well renovated new apartment. It has very modern amenities and super clean rooms. The bathroom is small but very modern and multifunctional. The washer is super useful. You can dry the clothes in the patio or inside the bathroom. It would be better if the guide includes how to get additional pillows as the existing ones are a little high. Also, the owner may provide additional towels to use (1 more set will be okay).'
