'We did not receive an email with check inn details. Staf could not be reached, not by phone and no answer on email. The cottage is outdated and too cold inside. You can feel the wind inside! Good location but ridiculously overpriced and non-exisiting communication. No wifi available. Avoid this place!'

'We enjoyed this property for our 2 night stay. The rental unit looks brand new and is furnished very well. It was probably the largest and nicest rental units we stayed in for our entire two week trip. It was nice to have the space! The only downside to this property is that it was out in the country, away from everything. So grab what you need before retiring for the evening. 'Beautiful site. The cottges were ok. It was to warm inside, because the heating was permanent on 20 degrees. The lightplan inside was not so good. And not sustainable. A little upgrade is necessary. But nevertheless, we had a nice time!'

'So this place was a good place to stay as we start our drive around the country. It's in the middle of nowhere (by beach though) but not scenic. The room is comfortable and clean. It's really quiet. The only downside is there was very limited hot water. My wife used it all up in a not very long shower. '

'Askot Cottages are beyond phenomenal! Our best stay in Iceland. The cottage design is thoughtful and purposeful. Every little detail adds to the comfort and experience for the guest. 'Very nice cottage. Comfortable with all desired amenities. Great place to get away and feel closer to the surroundings. Only caution is on warm days, the cottage has no AC and can get very warm.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The only downside was that it felt a bit chilly, and we couldn’t find any instructions on how to adjust the heating. The property is quite remote, so we strongly recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to avoid getting stuck in a snowstorm, as we nearly did. Despite this, we highly recommend this property—it’s a fantastic place to stay!'

'We had to clean extra when we left because it was a bit dirty and we didn’t want to get charged for leaving it dirty. For instance the lamps was really dirty, the vase in the shelf etc. we had to clean it all because of a lot of dust. As well the curtains was molded. However, we loved the location and the interior was nice. So the potential was definitely there. '

'Lovely cabin :well appointed: comfortable bed. But long drive from town 28km and half of it is (currently) a gravel road. It’s a beautiful place. We walked across field to waterfall. Views of the volcano. Nice respite but know you have a drive from the highway/town'
