'Overall magical stay! Cloudy weather for us but incredible views, you could see horses, sheep nearby. Coffee maker and mini fridge in room were helpful. Bed was comfy. Eye masks and earplugs provided were a nice touch. Sometimes hard to keep the flies out so def had to kill a few. One of the comforters was slightly stained. Easy to find off main road and close to gas stations and few restaurants. Great and would absolutely recommend a stay here! '

'Very nice place to stay and relax after a day trip. Plenty of room good showers and a hot tub sauna and steam bath. Very clean when we arrived. Good cooking facilities. We had a small issue with the hot water system that was solved quickly after consulting the owner. '

'Our stay and our host were absolutely amazing! Johannes was kind, communicative, and informative! It was a blessing to stay in his family home. Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to great coffee/bakery, the botanical gardens and an ice cream shop. When we return to Iceland, we will stay here again!'

'This home was perfect for our family of 5. Everything was very clean, beautiful decor, well stocked kitchen, and very responsive host! Great location for day trips to the highlands! 'We hebben een heerlijke en actieve week gehad. Na een drukke dag vol activiteiten en wandelingen, was het heel fijn 'thuiskomen'. Wat een mooi verblijf in een prachtige en rustige omgeving. Het uitzicht en het terras met hottub was elke dag weer een cadeautje.Het huis is mooi, eenvoudig ingericht en zeer aangenaam van temperatuur. Het drooghok erbij is erg handig om na de hottub of een regenachtige dag de kleren te drogen. Voor 5 volwassenen zou een aparte toilet wel praktisch zijn.Het huis is...

'Me and my boyfriend had a good stay at this property. It has parking for anyone hiring a car. The host was great, offering breakfast and lifts if needed. There was a language barrier but anyone who is not Spanish can just use google translate and it is easy enough. We had full use of his flat including the kitchen etc. Cheaper alternative to hotels and a nicer option than hostels. '

'A very nice, cosy and complete house. Everything you need is available. Rich kitchen, good beds, perfect shower and a hotpot. Nice surrounding views and perfect location to explore all of the south and south-west of Iceland. The perfect place to be when you planned a Iceland holiday. '

'Absolutely perfect! Walking distance into town but situated that when we left with our hired car there was easy access to get all the routes out of town. Excellent bunk beds for our two kids to have their own room and plenty of shared space downstairs. Absolutely would stay here again. Hostess was the most responsive I’ve had on VRBO. Absolutely perfect all the way around!'

"Voor één overnachting geboekt vanwege de uitstekende shuttle service. Supermarkt/Restaurant naast het hotel is een aanrader. Onze kamer had prima gordijnen maar sloten niet volledig waardoor je meer lichtinval hebt. Stopcontact weinig, fijne schommelstoel."

"Our apartment is quite big. The location is convenient to all the major interesting places in the city. The reception is helpful. But the kitchen can hardly be used due to very limited cooking utensils and cleaning capacity. If you plan to cook yourself, maybe you should find another place. The breakfast is also very limited. Regarding parking, the on site parking is 20 Euro/day and there is only 1 lot. It's not too difficult to find a on street parking nearby, but it's expensive at 600 ISK/hour, payable from 9am to 9pm. A good choice is to park in a nearby garage (Tradarkot) at the rate of 260 ISK for the 1st hour and 130 ISK/hour for the following hours (Oct. 2024 price). With Parka app, it's very convenient to check in and out for the garage. "
