'Fantastic stay at the Djorff Palace. The setting is magical located on the quite and beautiful West Bank, the Palace allows a peaceful stay along the Nile’s shores. The building itself is unbelievable, built with taste and lot attention to the details, wooden balconies and windows, the place in itself a journey back to the past. The staff were always willing to do anything for us, from advice on where to go and what to do, to offering services straight from the hotel.
It is located only around 3km south from the Pyramids of giza wich gives it a nice location to also visit Saqgara. You also don't get as much noise at night as you would do within either Cairo or further towards Giza.'
'We had an excellent stay at the St Regis Mew Capital hotel, where we were indulged by the magnificent service of the staff (Omar, Mahmoud, Mohammed and many others) and the beautiful hotel.
Only one minor backdraw is that the hotel is quite far from Cairo, but it is still worthwhile to stay in this hotel.
We would certainly choose this hotel again on a next trip!'

'Alhoewel men culinair hier en/of daar wel een steekje durft laten vallen is, zijn de 3 restaurants, op hun geheel beoordeeld, bevredigend.
Vooral het restaurant La Fleur, met soms aangename verrassingen.
De "Happy 1+1 hour" in Ascot Bar, van 5:30 pm tot 6:30 pm is m.i. eveneens een nuttige, onderbenutte tip ....'
'Eminente plaats om wat langer te blijven, gasten worden omgeven met zorg en comfort. Heel plezierig gelegen op eilandje in de Nijl, net buiten het hete en overdrukke Aswan. Tocht met pontje is al feest. Reusachtig zwembad, omgeven door groen. Vlak naast Nubisch dorpje, ideaal voor pittoreske avondwandeling. Uitbundig ontbijt. Schitterend uitzicht over de Nijl en omgeving vanuit de hoge toren, waar ook bar en high-tea kunnen worden genoten.'

A lot of noice from the street (and I was on 4th floor).
Huge internet router in the room (so yeah good wifi) but it had a huge green light wich led the room.
And Egyptian people in general don't understand what boundaries are. They keep crossing it."
