'This was absolutely amazing! I am a solo traveler and was in D.C for 7 days, 5 of which I had spent in a hostel nearby. I didn’t my best in that hostel, so I left and decided to book my last night in DC at the Generator in a shared dorm room (they have shared, and private rooms). Right from the moment I entered the lobby, it was great. The atmosphere was great, the personnel (and guests) were so nice, and I felt immediately at home. I solo travel a lot but did not have th experience I had hoped...

'Older building '

'Zeer goede ligging, personeel zeer behulpzaam, accomodatie wat verouderd met uitzondering van zwembad dat recenter was.'

'The hotel staff was fast and professional. Location is great. Only challenge was the bathroom was a little run down and needed some repairs.'

'Functional hotel but very small rooms, very little space, no space for suitcase. If you stay more than 1 night with 2 persons too tiny. Missing some atmosphere at the hotel but a good location.'

'Restaurant and bar where closed due to refurbishment. First room had a terrible smell in it. After request, the reception immediately allocated a better room (smell) . However very loud neighbours the first night (Saturday) and the general condition of the room was poor and close to shabby with damaged curtains and a broken refrigerator door.'

'Goed bed, fijne plek loopafstand van de Metro, ook goed te lopen naar de bezienswaardigheden. Erg jammer dat we tijdens het inchecken pas te horen kregen dat het zwembad gesloten was, vooral omdat we juist dit hotel geboekt hadden vanwege het binnen zwembad. Ontbijtbuffet erg duur voor wat je kan krijgen.'

'The hotel is quiet, clean and nice. Only 5-10 mins walk to the nearby Crystal City Metro station.'

'An overpriced three star minus hotel. The elevator sign still mentions a restaurant and bar, but those were closed years ago. The "clubroom" is just an empty space with a few tables and chairs. The lobby is a corridor from the elevators to the door, where you can check yourself in on a machine on the wall. The staff is friendly though and the location is central.'
