'We enjoyed our stay. Our room was comparatively small, aside from the king-sized bed - it's an old inn after all - but very comfortable and well equipped. 'foute ontvangst, erg lang moeten wachten voordat we eindelijk in onze kamer konden, chaos overal, de manager zei dat t druk was, hoogseizoen, of we daar begrip voor konden hebben. eigenlijk niet, we betalen voor de kamer, maandenlang is bekend dat we komen, dat is de job als je in het hotelwezen werkt. Manager pakte het totaal verkeerd aan, ging met ons discussieren, onnnodig! hotel was verder prima, keuken ook. De receptioniste Nicole en de waitress uit Lockerbie waren erg proffesioneel...

'We stayed for 6 days over Easter. The hotel is surrounded by countryside and a few buildings nearby yet is close to Whitehaven. The views are lovely - out to sea and across to Scotland. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were always very friendly. We ate in the hotel most nights, enjoying the well-presented tasty food. My food intolerances were well taken care of. The Rosehill Theatre is not far away and we enjoyed our visit there. The garden is going to be landscaped so wasn't very...
