'This hotel with a history offers great surroundings near Saranac lake, spacious, modern and clean family rooms, and friendly staff for a reasonable price. During our 3 week trip in July through north east of USA and Canada we planned to stay here for 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night. We were very lucky with the weather ( 75 -82 F) but heard the winter period lasts long and is tough.'

'Our stay was excellent, we received the text for the entry code into this smart hotel, it is unmanned, but we found the room clean, warm modern, it was excellent, no complaints . The heat is baseboard and silent, the air conditioner, which appears to be brand new, is multifunction, and is wall mounted, all amenities in this hotel room were top-of-the-line. We really liked it. We watched the World Series on a super big TV in a super big king bed. There was springwater, coffee, tea, granola bars,...

'We were on the second floor and the view was nice. The telephone lines were going across so it kinda blocked it but overall we had a great day.'

'I always enjoy staying at the Stonefence. They are upgrading the pool area so that wasn't available to swim in, but the beautiful river was! I hope that opening the restaurant will work out for them (they were doing a "soft opening" during the stay). I loved my lunch out on the patio, reading my book and seeing the river.'

'Cabin was perfect in every way: clean, comfortable, quiet. Kitchen is well stocked, bed was comfortable. We did use the gas fireplace and it warmed up the room very well. This is our 5th year staying at Leslie’s and the first time in this cabin. We will return again!'
