During our 3 week trip in July through north east of USA and Canada we planned to stay here for 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night. We were very lucky with the weather ( 75 -82 F) but heard the winter period lasts long and is tough.'

'The location was absolutely perfect. It is walking distance from downtown Lake Placid and less than 15 minutes from the Loj. It looks a little rough from the outside, but the room itself was very clean. It's hard to find a room with three separate beds, so the family triple was a good fit. The bathroom door didn't close, there is no housekeeping even for a week stay, and you have to grab your own supplies (towels, coffee) from the office and you have to take your own trash to the dumpster, but...

'At first, I was skeptical about a reservation at a place where no one was on site but my doubts were unfounded. I had the best experience with the owners that I’ve ever had in a hotel/motel. They were so responsive and helpful that I was so grateful. They even mailed my husband‘s favorite pants back to him.'
