Great location and amenities
I highly recommend this location for a short visit in Amsterdam. The apartment was very clean and is walkable to local restaurants and bars, Amsterdam Centraal (about 35 min walk) the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums, and more. Martijn was very friendly and available if we.needed him during our stay.

Great stay in quiet Jordaan
My husband and I enjoyed a great stay in a quiet neighborhood in Jordaan, not too far from the Anne Frank museum. Our apartment was spotless and the beds slept well. Our host was a great communicator and very accommodating with check-in and check-out.

Die Wohnung liegt nahe am Zentrum, zu Fuß ist alles gut zu erreichen. Sehr ruhige Lage am Wasser. Das Treppenhaus ist typisch für Amsterdam steil und eng! Die Wohnung sollte vielleicht mal ein bisschen rundüberneuert werden, ansonsten passt das für ein verlängertes Wochenende. Der Check-In klappte hervorragend, der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit!

Cet appartement très propre et calme se trouve près du centre d'Amsterdam. Plusieurs commerces desservent le secteur, autant à pied qu'en vélo. Merci à Martijn qui fut un hôte accueillant et très serviable. Il nous a aidé à monter et descendre nos valises, ce que nous avons grandement apprécié.

Great location, helpful host
Exactly what we needed. Clean, comfortable, good beds. Location made for a nice walk (or short tram ride) to everything we wanted to see. Martijn was a great host. We especially appreciated him allowing an early drop-off of bags and then taking our VERY heavy bags up the stairs for us before we returned. Would definitely stay there again.

Great sleep and go VRBO
This is a very clean and pristine little apartment. The host lives right below, so that makes the check-in process easy. The beds are very comfortable and bigger than I thought they would be- one room has a king and the other seems like a queen. There is one full bathroom with a tub and separate shower and one 1/2 bath in the hall by the entrance door. This was very workable in our group of 4 (2 couples). The kitchen had coffee available and a little area with seating but it is really not for cooking at home if that is what you are looking for. It was not a big deal to us because we were out everyday and only came home to sleep and shower. I will say the stairs are serious business. They are steep and plentiful (54 in all). Now maybe 54 sounds easy, but lugging suitcases (thankfully the host brought ours up) and the actual boards being so narrow and spiral in a way, it was tough. Be aware. You will need a breather after coming up and check your heart rate coming down because they are steep. The apartment is quite a ways out from the heart of the city and the canals make for a bit of a walk to get around, but the busses and trains help. All in all, it was a great stay. The place was spotless and we loved that!

We had a great time at Martijn‘s apartment. It is spacious and was completely sufficient for our needs. The location is very central, basically everything (especially the city center) is in walking distance. Martijn is super friendly and always replied shortly. I would definitely book again. Perfect location and very comfortable
Our experience was wonderful. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go within about 20 min and the walk was beautiful with all the canals and the amazing neighborhoods. The apartment is spacious for 2 people and designed very well. The beds were soft and we loved having the windows open to have the cool breeze. The stairs are steep and short in depth but not a problem even with a big bag, just go slow. It's so charming overall and I would recommend this space for anyone visiting the area.

This is a great place for a short stay in Amsterdam. Walkable to all the major sites, with convenient nearby grocery stores and restaurants. Just note, this is an attic apartment with very steep steps and there is no stovetop.

Loved staying here. Great location - quiet neighbourhood overlooking a canal. All the amenities you could need are here and it’s a great light-filled and airy space. Martijn also let us leave our bags there in the morning before check in, which was awesome after a long flight.

Nice, But a Climb
We were there for the King’s birthday. The property was clean, quiet, simple and comfortable. Martin was friendly & gracious and made it clear he would make himself himself available if we had questions or problems. Be ready for 90 steep, winding, narrow Amsterdam stairs! We were ready, & took only overnight bags.

sorry buy 90 steps is a bit to much.... the apartment is on the fourth flour means 4 stairs / 60 steps (normal here in A'dam)

Comfortable apartment in great location
Very happy with our stay in Martijn’s apartment. Everything is close at hand. There’s a tram at the end of the street but we just walked everywhere. Great to be central yet just far enough away to get a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Everything is as listed and Martijn was responsive and helpful from my first enquiry right up until we had to leave early due to KLM changing our flights 😢. Would definitely stay here again and happily recommend it to fellow travellers looking for a comfy Amsterdam base. We’ll be back.

Comfortable and cozy place just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. Small place with cozy beds perfect if you just need a comfy place to sleep at night while touring the stunning city. Easily walkable to the Dam Square with several great places to eat nearby. The stairs are no joke, pack accordingly and be ready to trek it up some steep steps, but it’s worth the trek. The host is quick to respond and great to communicate with. Nice apartment in a quiet area
The beds were comfortable and the seating area nice and spacious for 4. The online advert said fully equiped kitchen, but there was nothing to cook on! No stove at all. Pots and pans that were useless. Only a microwave. This did not meet our expectations, since we had planned to make breakfast in the apartment. In stead we had to go out to eat every morning, which was more expencive. The area is a quick walk from the center, about 15 minutes.

Interessante Dach-Wohnung mit sehr steilem Zugang. Vermieter ist unkompliziert und zuvorkommend, wohnt eine Etage weiter unten. Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet. Leider sind in der Küche keine Kochplatten mehr vorhanden, was das selber Kochen sehr einschränkt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. DieWohnung liegt relativ nah beim Zentrum und ist auch mit dem ÖV gut erschlossen.

A nice property and gave us a real insight how Amsterdam people live (ie four flights of stairs. However, disappointed we couldn't use the electric hob as it had a 30mm piece of wood screwed down on top of it. The oven took us twenty minutes to figure out how to use. A part from that an enjoyable stay. A great place if your between 20 to 40 or physically fit.

Gemütliche Basisstation für Amsterdamerkundung zu Fuß
Die gemütliche Dachgeschosswohnung ist nett und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Wir haben sie super sauber vorgefunden. Vermieter Martijn wohnt in unmittelbarer Nähe und alles war unkompliziert. Die Lage ist ruhig gelegen. Von dort aus konnten wir - meistens zu Fuß oder per Tram - unsere Tagesunternehmungen starten und nach einer Pause abends noch mal los. Absolut zu empfehlen ist das Kulturviertel Westerparkfabriek mit großer Grünanlage (nur 15 Minuten zu Fuß), das gerade abends im Sommer eine super Entspannung bringt. Wir waren als Familie da, und auch die Kids waren top zufrieden - mit WLAN und den großen Chill-Betten.
