'Love staying here'

'I love Hotel SLO and have stayed there several times. It’s a beautiful property, in the middle of downtown, with ridiculously comfortable beds and an excellent staff. Unfortunately, the last couple times I’ve stayed there have been some maintenance issues in the rooms that have not been addressed. The door to our bathroom was very difficult to slide and all in all everything in the bathroom was loose, tired, and needed attention. It feels like Hotel SLO is riding on its laurels and not working...

'Exceptional location in Avila Beach with easy access to Alapay tasting room, Peloton tasting room and Avila Wine and Roasting tastings. The property itself is very hospitable with a common room set up to accommodate morning croissants and coffee, afternoon chips and salsa, a wine-centered happy hour in the late afternoon and pie and/or cookies at 8pm. It is much more geared towards older adults and we very much appreciated that maturity, quiet, and slower-paced energy.'

'-dirty fridge -ear ring and plastic wrapper on the floor in our room -broken bed part stored under our bed and there was a lotion bottle as well -really cute idea with the binoculars provided in the room to see the constellations but wasn’t usable as the view of our room was a building right in front of our window (it wasn’t booked as ocean view so totally fair but for more than $800/night it is still not great) -there was mention of some work on updating the pool area (we didn’t expect so much...

'What a splendid hotel!!! Gorgeous historic property with all the latest amenities. Every room is beautifully decorated, as is the lobby. Our room had a lovely private area on the patio. Staff was warm and welcoming and very helpful. Location is terrific - within walking distance to a variety of dining experiences. Wish we had stayed more than one night. Highly recommended!!!!!!!'
