Matheson Bay Treehouse

This is a typical New Zealand bach, surrounded by bush and a peep of the sea, close to the idyllic Matheson Bay beach - super private and cosy.
It packs in two bedrooms (thats two queen beds - sleeps four in total) and a bathroom downstairs. The upper level has a huge deck, which extends the living space (the mezzanine is not accessable).
All key amenities are included.

(Heating over winter is a combo of fire upstairs and heaters dounstairs).

It’s an easy stroll to a super-safe all-tide swimming beach, which has a park, playground and picnic facilities.

Note that it s up a shared driveway and there is parking for multiple vehicles or a boat. You need to bring your own linen** and be aware that cellphone reception is patchy at best and you need to walk to the beach for full coverage or use wifi enabled calling.

Here s a taste of what’s nearby:

• New Zealand s best snorkelling/diving in our oldest marine reserve at Goat Island. The Glass Bottom Boat runs for those not keen on getting their feet wet.
• At Tawharanui Regional Park you can surf or scuba. For surfers, it is a 20 min drive to Pakiri or Omaha or Takatu Peninsula. Discover Anchor Bay, which is great for swimming, boogie boarding, surfing and rock pool exploring.
• Numerous coastal walking tracks, golf at Warkworth and Omaha plus wineries and cafes galore (Sawmill Cafe, Rusty Pelican, Matakana Pub, Morris & James Cafe, Plume).
•Put the boat in at Leigh Harbour less than 5 mins away for spectacular fishing and diving access to the outer gulf islands.
• Fish off the Wharf at Leigh, Ti Point
