'Very lovely'

'Fantastic week in Avalon! Loved "living in the neighborhood." Neighbors were very friendly and welcoming from the very beginning - not just after they realized we were quiet and respectful guests. Loved the outdoor living spaces with incredible views. Jetted tub in bay window looking at the ocean didn't hurt either. =) No problems whatsoever and owner responded immediately to all my questions. Certainly hope to return to Catalina Island someday and would definitely rent this property again....

'My family traveled to Catalina on the tail end of a long vacation. The charm of this house is one of a kind and the location was absolutely perfect! We did not cook but if we did it had everything needed to do so. The beds were so comfortable with grey linens and warm blankets. We relaxed in the evenings watching tv in the living room after fun filled adventures on the island. I’ve already began planning our next stay, hoping it’s available.'

'This was probably the nicest place I've stayed at on Catalina island. It really shows that the owners take pride in their home. It had a great layout and was well equipped. I appreciate the fact we were able to get a discount on the third night because of a canceled ferry. I would definitely stay here again!'

'The apartment is a short walk to Avalon center, with plenty of room for three adults and two active children. The kitchen was admirably set up. The view from the deck is wonderful, especially at night with city lights and a full moon!'

'We had a great time in Avalon and this house was a great location and price. It was close to the Vons market, which was very convenient as we bought some things for breakfast and lunch from there during our stay. All around I was very happy with out stay.'

'Lots of space with 6 beds, more than enough for 6 adults. Decor was homey and comfortable. Gas fireplace was a plus!! Having a golf cart would have made it ideal, but the walk to town was easy. Vons supermarket at the end of the block was also great.'

'We stayed 4 nights. The view from patio was the best. Kitchen is well stocked and top of the line appliances. Lots of space for families/couples. TV upstairs and downstairs is great for families with kids. Short walk to downtown area. Up hill walk home but definitely worth the view.'

'We have stayed in many different places in Avalon. This was by far the best. A cute house close to everything. The backyard space was great for hosting a dinner party and porches in front were great for breakfast and afternoon relaxing.'

'The house was perfect for three couples. We had a great time visiting. The upstairs deck was great. We had to wring the water out of the chairs before we could enjoy the deck, but this was the best part of the home. Sadly, the dishwasher was broken and no one with housekeeping noticed this and took care of the dirty dishes. We did had to do this before we could use the kitchen. The brother of the owner next door was available to help with the confusing heat/air. The house has no washer/dryer...

'Gale warnings on Sunday cancelled all boats. The landlord gave us a 50% discount on the VRBO listing for the extra night. A definite comebacker. Puzzles, videos, books, Oven and full size refrigerator. Easy walking distance to shuttles, Vons and beach. Recommend Highly. Watch for email from owner requesting credit card to get lockbox number. Small snag. our fault.'

'The home was clean and well maintained. It's not a huge home but it was more than ample for 6 adults. Everything worked without exception. The kitchen had everything needed for any type of meal. Vons is just a block away and the board walk just a couple more blocks. The owner Amy is congenial and helpful. For the cost we believe it's the best deal in town.'

'Small, but comfortable 2 bedroom just a few blocks from the center of Avalon. Great comfy porch for resting after walking around. Historic charm.'

'Excellent property and communication by owner. Lovely ocean views. Nice to be out of the hubub of Avalon, but just a few mins away. Perfect with the use of a golf cart. Saw deer at dusk by the zip line en-route to the property. We had a fantastic time.'
