This was our third visit to the OST with our grryhound Razor and was just as enjoyable as the previous two visits (September 23 and Christmas 23).
The staff are friendly and helpful. I asked for a room in the main Hotel as I have mobility issues and found the walk up from the annexe a bit difficult. When we checked in, they had allocated us a room downstairs but after explaining, they showed us room 10 on the ground floor shich was ideal. After being a bit cold on night one, they provided an extra duvet plus a fan heater and the rest of our stay was lovely and warm. There was a lot of noise early evening from other guests not controlling their children and letting them run around the corridors, but that is not the hotels fault and it quietened down at bed time so not a major problem, just annoying when you are trying to watch TV.
The food every night was out of this world and great value for money. Steak chips and the trimmings for less than £15. well cooked as ordered (Blue) and very tasty. The restaurant was such good value we ate there every night whicn is a first for me as I am very watchful of my pennies!
Breakfast was a self servicd buffet with Tea or Coffee, choice of fruit juices, cereals and a basic fried offering, Bacon, Fried Eggs, Sossidges, tomatoes and Beans plus as much toast as you wanted, freshly done by yourself on a conveyor belt machine. I would advise putting the bread through twice to give it a nice ta. All in all Excellent.
