'I grew up 15 miles from Newport Beach. The location is outstanding from a local perspective. 36-52 street is where locals go to the beach. It’s not as touristy and if you need food or a bathroom- head “home.” We enjoyed taking the Duffy Boat over to Balboa and grabbing a balboa bar. Judy has everything you need to hang out at the beach- towels and chais. The bikes were great for exploring. We didn’t paddle board in the harbor but there were many others enjoying it!
