'Our room was the worst part of our trip. It seems that in our 5 days stay we were there at least three times with issues. Our room door wouldn’t lock, telephone and tv didn’t work. AC kept turning off. Staff was placating on the surface but had no real intent to fix issues. Even the manager when she offered to compensate for these issues never followed through like the rest of the staff. So much money wasted, a trip of a lifetime ruined.'

'Mooie locatie aan strand, goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Eenvoudige houten huisjes. Wij hadden de pech dat wij een zeewier aanval hadden. Het stonk er vreselijk en zijn toen verhuisd naar een duur resort waar het strand schoongemaakt werd en het niet stonk.'

'El Ben is a beautiful, well run property. Everything about our stay was fantastic from the staff to the food to the cabanas. All the food is made from scratch - from the bread for morning toast to the fresh squeezed juice. I only gave it a 3 for amenities because that’s somewhat intentional as it’s on the north quiet side of caye caulker. If you want to relax, unplug & lay low it’s perfect. If you want to sign up for outings & adventures off site, you can do that too. '
