This property is central to everything but it is in the middle of a hill. Sixty three steps from the waterfront and a steep incline to the top where the shopping and some restaurants are. You have to temporarily park (15 minutes) at the top where the church is located to unload your luggage and run it down the hill to the property. Then you have to find a parking space which can be a hike away. We went out late at night to find a free spot(white lines) so we would not have to pay during the next day (blue lines). All parking is free at night. Not a good choice for the elderly.

Great
The hotel is located in the middle of Bellagio. A bit heavy to carry the suitcase up all the stairs. But when you arrive it is well worth it. The breakfast area is outside in a cozy yard. I like the idea, but there was wasps flying around, enjpying my breakfast, so the other mornings I enjoyed breakfast inside. For a small familydriven hotel the breakfast had all you want in a breakfast, very good. The personal was nice and polite. The communication before I arrived was very good. The room was a good size. The bed need a mattress topper. The shower was a bit small, but for a quick shower it was ok. I wish the room had a fridge. I would stay here again.

My 22 year old son traveled over seas for the first time by himself, I wanted to make sure I picked a good, safe hotel for him. They went above and beyond and made sure I knew he was well taken care of during his stay. My son said the hotel staff were the kindest people he's ever met. It's a smaller family owned hotel and it shows in how they treat their guest. My son absolutely loved the free breakfast they offered. It was a huge plus for him to not worry about where to eat first thing in the morning. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

Very friendly and helpful staff including the 'hands on' family who run the hotel. Very convenient location in the centre of the village. Fairly small but comfortable and well presented public areas and bedrooms and all essential requirements. Pleasant garden and patio area. Good breakfast which can be eaten either inside or outside depending on the weather. Combination of quality and price makes it excellent value for Bellagio. Many residents were only staying a few nights but we were there for 8 nights and were happy throughout our stay. Would certainly return again. (If access is an issue, there's a lift in the hotel but there's a significant flight of steps to the hotel, not surprising as many of Bellagio's streets are steeply stepped, however the staff were very keen to help carry suitcases to the hotel as well as to the rooms).

Lovely hotel in great location, very short walk from the pier and right in the center of Bellagio. All restaurants and bars are within 10 min walk max. Room was spacious, quiet and all staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really nice with fresh pastry and coffee made to order. Shower could be bit bigger, other than that no issues.

Hands down one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. They make the BEST breakfast ever!! Also the rooms were very clean and the ambience of the whole hotel was charming, clean, safe, and authentic. It’s in close proximity to the shops and lake. We highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again when we visit Bellagio!

Hotel Centrale is a great small hotel run by a great family. Marcelo his Brother, along with other family Members make you feel welcomed from the minute you walk in!. They offered great suggestions for dining, places to see and how to get there. The Buffet in the morning although not as varied as other places is good!, and I believe their Mom bakes the cakes herself. The Hotel is a few steps from the ferry docks so is very convenient. The hotel is kept clean, my room was spacious and comfortable!. I will go back to Hotel Centrale every time.

We found the hotel ‘Centrale’ online based on location, reviews, and the value for the money criterion. Now, after spending a week there, I am grateful of the people, who provided opinions, and want to add my ‘two cents’ by addressing the things that are a little less represented in the reviews, but make all the difference. Centrale has a perfect location, if you want to spend a few days at beautiful Bellagio, the hotel is a three-minute walk (literally) to the center and lake piers, a three-minute walk up to the main street, which crosses Bellagio all the way. The main thing, however, I wanted to highlight, is the hotel itself. It has the genuine charm and spirit of the lake Come area and Italy. Nice, lovely, not big, blossoming plants are everywhere. If you look closely, you will notice that every detail small and big was carefully thought through, beautifully designed, and functional. That is not surprising, because the hotel is family owned. You will be greeted with a genuine smile and a desire to make your stay here the most pleasant. You will feel it during breakfast or while asking for information and advice. There is an atmosphere of unobtrusive warmth and comfort around, which sets the stage for a perfect vacation. That is what we have experienced during our stay, and we wish you the same!

The staff are wonderful. The breakfast and coffee were delicious. The location is perfect (except for bringing your bags up the steps from town! But that is how Bellagio is!). Beautiful courtyard under a huge Deodora cedar tree where you can have breakfast or hang out with a glass of wine in the afternoon. They gave great recommendations for restaurants and were just truly caring people. Also loved Ramon, the dog greeter. 😎 Would definitely book this hotel again.

Love, love, love this charming hotel! Amazing breakfasts, wonderful staff, they were very helpful with email communication ahead of my arrival (they helped me with ferry and train information), and we lived the traditional style of decor - it is lovely! It is clean and quiet, the A/C works well, there are nice little areas outdoors to relax after a day of shopping or before bed after a nice shower. Grapevines cover a pergola on the second floor terrace. Lemon trees can be found potted nearby, vegetable plants and an olive tree. We love the gated entry and pretty glass doors throughout the building. They do have an elevator. My only suggestion if you don’t like hard beds and firm pillows this may not suit you but to be honest, everywhere we have stayed in Italy so far (Siena and Rome too) has very firm beds and pillows! Also, perhaps due to older plumbing, our shower did not drain well. We kept having to turn the water off while soaking up then turn the water back on. We did mention it to the front desk but it didn’t really improved but it never overflowed either. I would stay here again, nowhere is perfect … and the positive attributes of this hotel and staff far outweigh any small problems we had.

Navnet siger det hele! Centralt beliggende i en by med store højdeforskelle. Super serviceminded personale - lækker morgenmadsbuffet med rigtig italiensk kaffe. Lille men godt værelse med aircondition, hvilket var meget nødvendigt, da der var +35 grader i skyggen. Lidt bøvlet at komme til hotellet med bil, da det ligger i bilfri zone, men vi fik kæmpet os igennem gågaden og kunne holde midlertidigt på kirkepladsen under check-in. Kørte derefter bilen ned til færgehavnen, hvor vi kunne parkere mod betaling - ca 20 euro i døgnet, som i øvrigt kunne betales via easypark. Bellagio er en hyggelig, men ekstremt turistet by. Vi var dog glade for vores ophold.

The perfect location for a lovely stay in Bellagio
A wonderful stay at a beautiful family-run hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the owners were welcoming, friendly and personable. The hotel was walking distance to all the restaurants, bars and shops and very close to the ferry port and car parking too.

The property is in a great location, driving to Bellaggio for Americans not comfortable driving in narrow roads is not recommended and not for the faint of heart. Parking can be tricky, I ended using an app easypark to pay, it would cost around 10 Euro a day. The hotel has AC and is comfortable but does not have a small fridge. Breakfast was great but I did notice the staff restocking the cold cuts with bits and pieces of ham as if skimping purposely to cut costs. Overall I would return here but I would park elsewhere and arrive via boat, not by car. And I lived in Italy for 4 years if that helps you.

It’s a great hotel close to everything and the ferry station. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is really clean although the decor is a bit dated. The breakfast is wonderful with many choices. It does require going up some stairs as it’s located on a hill. If you have a heavy suitcase, it may be difficult to lug it up.

Beautiful stay at historic, family-run hotel in the heart of Bellagio! Easy access to restaurants, cafes, and bars. Conveniently located close to the ferries. The hotel staff couldn't be any more nicer or helpful. It was a great four nights exploring Bellagio, Varenna, Cadenabbia, Menaggio, San Giovanni, Bellano, and Como. Spectacular.

A property as beautiful as the staff that work there. You couldn't find more generous people. The hotel is family ran and updated. It has key cards and an elevator and an antique charm. The staff went above and beyond to help with everything I needed. They did research and called places for be. They include breakfast which is a mix that will please Italians and also Americans. The level of service I was provided with cannot be beat. The room was spacious and the AC worked great, out the window you can see the lake. They also have a porch on the second floor with beautiful views where you can sip wine underneath grape Vines.

Decent place to stay in Bellagio
The charming hotel feels more like you are staying in a guest room in an Italian grandmother's house than a hotel. The people who run the hotel could not be any friendlier. It is very clean. The rooms are a bit dated (however, that is part of its charm). Decent included breakfast

Very quaint family run hotel. Beautiful garden area, nice rooms with what you need. All the staff we encountered were so nice, welcoming and helpful. They be also spoke excellent English. There was an elevator to use to take your luggage but stairs. You do have to walk up several steps from the road to get yo hotel so if walking steps is an issue Bellagio is probably not for you because it’s stairs everywhere. We feel we may have gotten a little more exercise this way. Such a beautiful area. I would highly recommend staying here it’s close to everything and supports a family verses a big hotel. The breakfast is pretty good as well and is included in the room, We loved our stay here in fact we stayed 9 nights.

Not my cup of tea
haven't known that all Bellagio is mount town so you have always go up/downstairs from the hotel. Not my cup of tea. The room looks like onee-two stars, not three. Dirty. No possibility to call a taxi as the is no place for car in ancient street. All on foot. It's extremely cold, I couldn't sleep because of cold. They are very nice but I heard: But other guests tell it's warm, so we do everything for them... no comments.

Cara Eugenia ci dispiace che il tuo soggiorno sia stato così mediocre. La nostra famiglia risente molto di un feedback negativo come il tuo. . Forse non hai capito la nostra storia e la nostra dedizione per il lavoro. Durante il check-in spieghiamo perfettamente l'uso dei servizi nelle camera. Sono sicuro che hai tenuto accesa l'aria condizionata tutta notte. per questa ragione hai avuto freddo. 2 coperte presenti nell'armadio( 25 gradi esterni). Non hai nemmeno guardato la posizione in cui ci troviamo ( 60 gradini e nessuna strada limitrofe). Se hai problemi a camminare Bellagio e gli atri paesini non sono l'ideale. I taxi non ti portano per 200 metri ( i ). Hai fatto colazione alle 10:45 ( terminano alle 10:30 ), hai fatto il check-out alle 11: 45 ( era alle 11 ). Cosa dovremmo fare di più? Speriamo che la gente valuti il tuo giudizio. Arrivederci Famiglia Borelli

Positief: Netheid, personeel en service, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Sehr zentral, allerdings nicht mit PKW erreichbar, da in einem Treppengäßchen. Super nette Familie (das Hotel ist seit 4 Generationen im Familienbesitz) Alles wunderschön und sehr, sehr italienisch ;0)
