'The rooms are clean but lack basics. No water in the rooms. You cannot get food after 10pm. The jacuzzi is designed to kill you. There is so much chlorine it feels like a gas chamber. Its awful. Its supposed to be relaxing but you leave crying. The sauna and steam rooms are great. The swimming is good and perfect temperature. I asked one of the staff to reduce the amount of chlorine but she just said its not my job. She looked like the cleaner. The lady at the spa Danielle was just great. She...

'Long wait at check in. Airco downstairs, but room hot and no airco. Check out time 11.00. But at 10.30 they said we had 10 minutes. Airco unit of downstairs next to room window…. Unbelievable. A lot of noise. Awfull service of front desk. Mostly not occupied and you have to call an outside number with your cell. Best hotel of Colchester. What a Joke. '

'Hotel ligt langs de snelweg maar we hoorden daar op de kamer niets van. Genoeg parkeerplaatsen schijnwerpers. Parkeren is gratis als je member wordt, dat membership is ook gratis. De kamer was goed, het bed een beetje smal. De badkamer ruim genoeg en netjes. Kortom een goede keus als je op doorreis bent. Het ontbijt zit bij de prijs inbegrepen en was beperkt qua keus. '

'Waren er een lang weekend, verbleven in een aangepaste invalidekamer, daar was alles erg laag georiënteerd op het knopje van de ventilator van de douche na, die zat bijna bij plafond. Laatste ochtend koude douche, maar werd gelukkig wel gecompenseerd met gratis ontbijt. Drukke straat, maar ook heel leuk, je zit dan wel midden in de stad. '

'A large suite with separate bedroom and bathroom, both of a very generous size. This was offered as an upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. Staff most attentive and food and service in the restaurant was excellent. Highly recommended.'

'Do not book here. I booked 10 months in advance and when we arrived they couldn’t find my booking. Given a room on 2nd floor, in direct sunlight so it was like a sauna, but they did give us a fan. Arrived back at midnight to find gates closed and locked. Had to call someone to unlock the gate and let us in. Next morning tried to use the shower and wouldn’t work, then tried the was basin and no water. When I mentioned the shower at checkout, they knew about it and said we should have been...
