'Heavily overpriced for the quality you get (on food and beverages). Also paying for beach chairs etc. Hotel is nice and we enjoyed the installation but food and beverages were very basic while all charged on premium rates. Also very high fees to rent beach equipment which in my point of view is outrageous. We have much better experiences in Hawaii concerning that so definitively something to improve. No problem to pay a price but you expect something in return which we didn't feel at all. '

'Great condos, pool is huge and fun for the kids. The resort does not have a direct beach access (need to walk to the Sheraton- 5mins). The on-site restaurant is ok for breakfast and lunch. Overall nice place.'

'The hotel rooms need a refresher for the amount they charge. Food at the pool is poor. The upscale restaurants are very good. Staff is friendly and my wife said the spa massage was very good. Paid $22 for a premium margarita and was given slushed iced water. Location is probably one of the best on the island. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.
Go out to Koloa for food and drinks.'

'We had the absolute best stay at the Koa Kea. We loved how the resort is on the smaller side, and you can easily walk out of your room and to the pool, beach, or to some nearby businesses (little fish, puka dog, surf shop..). The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. I also loved being greeted with real leis, chocolate for our honeymoon, and wine in the room when we arrived! The pool bar had some yummy food, and good drinks. The sunrise yoga was fantastic as well. We stayed here...

'Overall, the Grand Wailea is a great hotel, however, as a guest you feel like you’re just a cog in the machine. We had a great time, but never felt that over the top service / experience that you would expect for a hotel with the reputation that it has / costs as much as it does'

'Wij werden ontvangen door Patrick met zijn gulle lach, een lekker lavendel watertje en ijskoud doekje. Het personeel in de Andaz is erg service gericht en vriendelijk. Het hotel heeft een mooi decor. De locatie fantastisch, met strand voor de deur. Erg relaxte sfeer. Andere hotels in Wailea zijn veel drukker. Klein minpuntje - prijzen van de drankjes, eten etc, dit geldt voor heel Wailea.'
