'Motel ziet er aan de buitenkant netjes uit. Wij hadden niet rokers kamers gereserveerd, maar kregen rokers kamers toegewezen. Omdat het hotel vol zat, was er geen gelegenheid dit te ruilen. Dit komt ook doordat een groot deel van de kamers voor rokers bestemd is. Onvriendelijke mevrouw aan de balie was niet servicegericht en wilde geen oplossing zoeken. 'I asked for the one story building so that I could park in front of my room. Easy to carry things into room. It needs up dating. Needs painting, trim board was off, bathroom plug was sunk into wall, and old fluorescent lights in ceiling flickered so had to turn it off. Bed was as hard as a rock. I did like the bigger refrigerator with bigger freezer than most Motels. The newer looking two story building next door may have better, newer rooms. I am not sure. Thank goodness I was only...

'We often stay at the Gilman Motel 8. This time I was slightly annoyed at the room. Refrigerator already had food in it and there was a stain on the top sheet of the bed. Outside there weeds growing up in all the garden areas. These are things we noticed. What else might be overlooked. The service was fine, so we will go back.It is a particularly convenient location.'

'The cabin was very clean, cozy, and peaceful! So relaxing being by the river. The kids loved kayaking. Loved that the cabin was out of town and had privacy. The host was very friendly and was timely on responses. We had to come down for my uncle's funeral and we realized that our family was from the same area as the host.
