'$10 to park—keep in mind this is not a big city, it’s in an industrial area and was nothing but an UNDISCLOSED cash grab. $30 hold for incidentals that I had to call to be refunded, most hotels just hold a card on file. No breakfast. Ice machine was broken. Gym was broken and closed. Hallways smelled like weed and walls were paper thin. This was unlike any other Courtyard I’ve ever stayed in and I will never be back. Super 8-level hotel with Courtyard price.'

Nadeel van de ligging van het hotel is dat je wel een auto bij je moet hebben. De bus transfer van het hotel is alleen mogelijk voor bestemmingen die binnen 2 miles van het hotel liggen. Ga je verder weg dan moet je met een taxi. '

'We were in town for a track meet. The hotel is cute and close to liberty university. We booked a business suite for more space. The rooms are large and have a washer and dryer in the room. Free breakfast is standard, well prepared and just what we needed to start our day. Nice hotel for a good price. The business suite has a 2 burner kitchen and full sized fridge and dishwasher as well. Worth the price.'

'The room (mostly the bathroom) was not very clean. There was hair on the floor and in the shower upon our arrival. The rest of the room seemed ok except for the spider webs in the corners of the windows. The front desk, cleaning and maintenance staff were great. Parking was easy and convenient. The breakfast spread was pretty good and they constantly had water available in the lobby. The property was well maintained and the pool chairs and area were kept in great shape.'

'Needed a night away from the kids & picked The Grand Essential. We had a king suite with a city view & it was amazing. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable. There was free covered parking right next to the hotel & it is situated in downtown Lynchburg directly across from a Performing Arts venue. 'While it provided a decent enough shelter for an overnight stay, it is not recommended if you can help it. The condition of this place is deporable. The actual building is in need of repair. Missing ceiling tiles, exposed ventilation, musty room smells. Though we were able to change rooms at request, there was still stained furniture and long hairs in the shower of the new room. It is conveniently located if you are there for LU ceremonies, but the hwy noise pollution is a bit much overnight....

'I made my reservation and paid in advance for my stay MONTHS before my arrival date. Two days before my arrival they cancelled my reservation. I called and talked with the manager who said she would look into it and call me back. I must have sent 3 messages following up and not one was responded to. Left a message saying that since I did not hear from them I would be there on my planned arrival. I was literally traveling all over Canada and the US and my plans were not easy to adjust at that...
