'DPL is built as its own ecosystem and has wonderful shops and restaurants. Very close to bike rental, airstrip and bus depot. The row of shops across the street are convenient and provide variety. The only complaints are: 1. There are no fridges or silverware in the rooms. 2. The wonderful lobby of Buildings A and B has a terrible bar to operates at weird hours and has the lamest coffee I’ve had in ages. They should do something about that.'

'Alles tot in de puntjes geregeld. De shuttle van en naar Talkeetna en het station van Alaska Railways was erg prettig. Tijdens ons verblijf was Denali twee dagen lang te zien. Fenomenaal!'

'Everything was fine there. We stayed two nights. However, it was disappointing that during our stay they didnot clean the rooms, do the beds or provide clean towels.'

'Holland America is really spread out but there is constant shuttle services for guests’ convenience. Two great onsite dine-in restaurants. Had meals at both and very nice. Lot of cruise guests who constantly have to navigate. Had a great room.'

'We loved staying at the Talkeetna Lodge. The views of the mountains (including Denali) were spectacular!! The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly as were the servers in the restaurant. The only downside was there was one bartender (tattoos on face) who wasn't very friendly and seemed to have an attitude. Other than that, this was one of the best places we stayed in Alaska!! Thank you!'

'My husband said the skeeters (mosquitos) were so large and so many, they could have carried me away. Luckily, the property provided a electric bug zapper and he spent hours enjoying killing the little boogers. They were a major problem, we thought he killed them all and we woke up with mosquito bites and they were buzzing around again the next morning. Kinda a buzz kill….the cabin was fine, but the bugs were bad.'

'De locatie is prima, maar daar is ook alles mee gezegd. Als backpacker ben je waarschijnlijk blij met de kamer die wij hadden. Voor ons was het de meest deprimerende kamer ever! Klein, bedompt, zonder daglicht weggestopt in een tochtige binnengalerij. Gehorig en muf ruikend. Geen magnetron op de kamer terwijl foto's iets anders suggereren. Koelkast werkte niet goed. Of alles was bevroren of er lekte water uit. Buitenkant werd loeiheet, gevaarlijk! Weinig stopcontacten. Wellicht is de prijs...

'De kamer was heel erg ruim en de badkamer was prima. De eigenaren waren heel erg vriendelijk en leuk om een praatje mee te maken. Het hotel ligt midden in het dorpje bij de ingang van Denali National Park, zodat je vroeg op pad kunt. Ook zijn er heel veel restaurants en winkeltjes op loopafstand. Er is een grote RV-camping achter het hotel maar daar heb je geen last van.'

'Right at the foot of the entrance to the national park! Beautiful location and duplex cabin! We had a private bathroom with shower. Very comfortable beds. Delicious food on the property- such a nice place to stay! Would definitely recommend.'

'Pleasant, courteous staff. Spacious room. Limited plug points. Bathroom has a very noisy fan. Location is great for easy access to Denali National Park.'

'Bar downstairs was open until 2 am with an open mic night. It was loud and while ear plugs were provided sleep was difficult.'

'When using the hot tub and fire pit, we were treated to a great view of the Alaska Range, including Denali. Dawn provided a delicious breakfast. She was a helpful host with several recommendations about nearby sights.'

'The views were amazing and being creekside was an extra bonus. The restaurant was delicious and the baked goods were amazing.. I’m so glad we stayed here. The flower baskets were a beautiful bonus. I felt really at peace here.'

'We stay at a different hotel, The Denali Bluffs Hotel. Check-in was very long and there was only one person checking everyone in. The food was pricey and was served cold. The rooms were clean and nice. The views were great from the patio.'
