'We had so so much fun during our visit! The location is so beautiful, we were so fortunate to see the peak of fall colors and it was breathtaking. We saw the sunrise over the mountains right from our cabin and we had a clear view of the sky for nighttime sky gazing too, the stars are so much brighter! The actual drive to the house was super manageable, didn’t need 4WD so long as you don’t try to drive up the gravel driveway, which Michelle advises against anyway. 'This was such a nice house! My son, husband and I stayed here for 3 days. It was great! There were condiments and so much stuff for us to use, which was nice coming from out of state and not wanting to buy all the things that we would just use a little of. The place smelled so clean and fresh! They were great about communication every step of the booking and check in. We plan on coming back with my other family members next time. There was lots of extra room!'

'Great place to stay! The cabin is beautiful and historic. Lovely walking trails and extremely comfortable. The host was extremely thoughtful and turned on lights for us inside and out as we were checking in well after dark. We hope to be back when it snows!'

'Very cozy, quiet, clean. Limited tv but that is the area. At first seemed bad but ended up enjoying the limited tv very much. There is so much to do in the area. We went nonstop all and then came back each night for a home cooked dinner. So relaxing. '

'The view from the cabin is amazing. We came to unwind and relax and were not disappointed! The chairs on the porch were very comfortable and we spend most of our time outside. The hot tub was a great place to star gaze at night. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook on the grill every night. We did venture out to sight see on the parkway and to grandfather mountain. Other reviews were concerned with parking, but we had a full size truck and had no issues....

'Home is great. A bit of a challenge to reach due to part of the Blue Ridge Parkway being closed due to Helene. Went with the notion of being a wedding anniversary and near a dark sky site. Excellent in terms of privacy and relative darkness. Spouse is 5'2" and had a lot of trouble entering and exiting the hot tub. The mini split ACs are very effective, although it was challenging to understand they all have to be set to AC or heat to work. I'm technically inclined, so this did not pose an issue...
