'Booked this as a quick overnight before our road trip through Scotland came to an end. Was an easy drive to the airport from there. Bed was smaller than the king size we expected. Restroom had a sewage odor that progressively grew stronger through the night and into the morning. We let staff know on our way out. Hopefully its corrected before the next guest stays. Overall its as advertised minus the above.'

'The hotel is in an old building, so some of the inconveniences can be described as 'charming'. However, do not visit when you value your nights rest, since the bed feels like it is made from a bag of rocks. More comfort wouldn't have mattered anyway since sleeping was impossible due to the bright lights and drunk screamers outside. The bathroom's low, tiny sink and lack of any shelves, storage or hooks, forcing us to put everything on the floor, left us with back pain. Halfway through our visit...

'Personeel is erg behulpzaam. Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van Falkirk Wheel en van restaurants in het dorp.'

'A basic hotel with simple rooms. The fourth bed in our room was noticeably shorter, so my 13-year-old child didn’t quite fit. That said, the restaurant was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. And although the rooms were quite basic, they still met all our needs.'

'Booking was easy, however, the writing was on the wall from early on during our stay. The cups in the room were ring stained, like they were washed out, not washed up. When we asked for a clean cup; rather than changing the dirty cup for a clean one, staff made a point of inspecting the cup and saying it was rinsed but maybe not scrubbed. Yeah, hence why it's dirty, because it's not been cleaned. Our first night was terrible. We were woken at about 0300 by other guests. The next 1.5 hours were...
