'The hotel doesn't have a own parking, the location is so/so and the outside of the hotel looks like there's nothing to it but don't judge this book by it's cover. The rooms and beds are amazing. 'The was a very comfortable and cozy hotel. I had a great time here. I found it impeccably clean, and the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. It's walking distance from the downtown shopping area, but still pretty quiet. There is a lovely lounge and bar area that is very comfortable and welcoming. The shower worked very well too. 'Stromness is een mooie uitvalsbasis voor een aantal bezienswaardigheden, maar gezien de kleine afstanden op het eiland zou ik zelf in Kirkwall gaan zitten. 'We were met on the ferry by chance by the lady that owned the house that we were staying in, she led us directly to the property and showed us round the house. The house was exactly as described, clean, tidy and very well equipped. The lady's husband worked on the ferry and on one occasion he phoned his wife and asked her to make sure we were going to arrive on time. The whole experience was perfect.'
