They have an amazing bar on the roof. You sit with -15 in heated plastic iglo tents zipping from your drinks. The onsen Spa is big on the upperfloor overlooking Yudanaka And the mountains. The Room is huge. So wonderful stay And highly recommended.'

'We have really enjoyed our stay in this ryokan. Staff were super helpful and considerate. We arrived late at night. There was someone waiting there to greet us, then showed us their onsen which was a heavenly experience after a long day. The bedroom is spacious and sealed with separate air conditioning, perfect for the hot July weather. There are extra bedding and pillows in the closet. There were balcony furnitures for relaxation. '女性7人で泊まりました。皆さんとても満足していました。 　まず、色々なお風呂が有り、楽しんで入ることができました。次に、夕食も朝食も、色彩がきれいで、手が込んでいて丁寧に作られているお料理でした。特に朝食にお粥を作って頂いたのですが、その塩加減が絶妙でした。そして、寝る時のマットや枕も寝やすく、布団に入るとすぐ寝落ちしてしまいました。中居さんが親切でいろいろ気を配ってくださり、気持ち良く過ごすことができました。400年前からあるそうですが、そうじも行き届いていました。 　宿の皆様のおかげで思い出深いいい旅行になりました。ありがとうございました。'

'Loved our experience here! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend booking with the half board plan so that you have breakfast AND dinner included as dinner options in the area are scare from what we observed. Meals were delicious. 30 min walk to snow monkey park - and the walk is stunning. Both the public onsen and both private onsens at the hotel were wonderful. Would stay here again!'

'One of the highlights of my trip. This is a very special place where the staff could not have been more warm and helpful. We booked the half board for 2 nights and the food was very traditional, high level Japanese cuisine which didn’t completely suit our teenagers (just something to be aware of) but the service was superb and the facilities (hot baths and room) amazing.'

'Great location and ski in ski out. Small but comfortable room for family of 4, Onsen is a blessing! It’s a little tired, super busy hotel. Outrageously priced buffet dinner, go elsewhere. Free shuttle makes that easy, but make sure you book all offsite options. '

'While this is an older hotel, it is clean, things are in working order, and rather charming and unique. For example, I had a large room with a small patio that offered a beautiful view of the city. It’s in a quaint quiet town with gorgeous views of the mountains surrounding the town. I appreciated the thoughtful touch of hot green tea. 'This was a pretty cool stay. It really feels like your at a traditional style Japanese Inn! We did both of the private onsens and they were awesome; One option is a wooden bath and the other is a stone bath, both options have an indoor and outdoor bath. It rained on our visit to the outdoor stone bath and it was a great experience, they supply hats for the rain too if you want. We also did the breakfast and dinners.
