'Redelijk hotel, maar skigebied is klein. Het ontbijt is beperkt in keuzes en het aanvullen matig. Het diner is van goede kwaliteit en de menu's uitstekend. De kamer werd niet standaard schoongemaakt en nieuwe handdoeken moesten we vragen. 7 nachten verbleven. Helaas had het hotel geen bar of andere verblijfsruimte.'

'Staff was friendly and working hard. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated… but they’re fighting an uphill battle against an aging run down building with apparently a long-broken elevator for 6 floors. Great price on difficult to find lodging in the area.'

'What a fantastic place to stay. Convenient location from the train station And easy acces to snowmonkey parc. The food was amazing And the service level as well. They have an amazing bar on the roof. You sit with -15 in heated plastic iglo tents zipping from your drinks. The onsen Spa is big on the upperfloor overlooking Yudanaka And the mountains. The Room is huge. So wonderful stay And highly recommended.'

'Hotel Takimoto has a very natural feel almost like you are staying in someone’s home. The circular fireplace is an excellent place to enjoy a drink before and after dinner and meet fellow guests. . The food was all delicious and varied. The ski rental shop on site is professional and helpful. The guests are a mix of Japanese and western travelers. The scenery is spectacular. '

'Room was massive, double the size of any room we have stayed in in Japan. Pillows had both Western and traditional Japan options. Fiona was encompassed in a fitted sheet (never seen this before) but kept us all warm even when it was sub 0 outside. Room had access to outdoor area, exclusive to the room, which had table and chairs. 'This hotel was in the perfect spot for us. We had an authentic Japanese style room, with Pvt bathroom. The staff at this hotel were incredibly kind and accommodating to our needs from baggage storage, to help with sending our luggage on to our next destination. To allowing us use of the public onsen after check out. '

'Expérience intéressante. On y va surtout pour les deux repas gastronomiques. Le repas du soir avait 7 services. La qualité est excellente. Le bain public à l'intérieur est très bien organisé: casiers, serviettes, savon et shampoing. Le bain extérieur est très beau. Nous avons choisi la chambre traditionnelle pour l'expérience de dormir sur un futon sur les tatamis. C'est amusant mais une nuit c'est assez. La chambre était grande et pratique. Le soir plusieurs touristes se promènent en yukata...

'We stayed here and were impressed with the service. It is primarily a ski hotel and we needed to transport our baggage down the slope at an early hour...the staff willingly did it by tobaggan. This is a traditional japanese hotel...witg futons and communal bathing area which was fun to experience. Snow monkeys were fun to see.'

'The gentleman who runs the place is very nice and accommodating. There was hot water and tea waiting for us in our room, which was a delicious, unexpected treat. The bathroom / shower are small, but were clean and served their purposes. The women’s onsen was very relaxing and much needed after a day at the Snow Monkey Park. My family and I enjoyed our stay. 'Was a great stay at this great little inn. It may be a bit different than what most western guest expect to find, but I went for the Ryokan experience and was not disappointed. Staff were really great, helpful in scheduling transport to the monkey park and to the train station. Room was clean, good size, and had everything I needed. The town itself is a cute little village and it was a great experience going to all 9 baths in the town. The baths themselves could use a bit more attention... some...
