'WOW! The price we paid for this room is outrageous! This place is terrible. I'd file a complaint to get my money back if possible. Doesn't look ANYTHING like the pics. We were the ONLY people staying at the hotel. It was like out of a bad horror movie. No phone, no TV, no amenities. It was basically a roof over our heads for almost $400 per night!! '

Part of this appeal is due to the friendly interactions with Ms Icis Malone, the proprietress, and her son. 'We had such a good time at Pelican Peak! The property manager was always available and offered great advice on restaurants and beaches. The home itself is very comfortable - a true home away from home. A little buggy at times, but it's the Caribbean! Honestly though, the best part of the house were the views. We were high enough in the hills to get a panoramic view of the island below us and islands in the distance, but close enough to still hear and see the waves crashing at the shoreline. Plus...

'Leuk hotel, rechtstreeks aan het strand, maar een beetje vergane glorie. Hotel is aan het einde van het eiland Tortola. Dus lange taxirit naar luchthaven en Road Town. Tortola zelf stelt niet veel voor. Op de BVI moet je echt gaan zeilen anders is er verder niets te beleven.'
