'Conveniently located near the Nikko Toshogu Shrine and loved the private onsen. Room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Walkable to the main town and bus stops for sites (eg to Chuzenji) are very close. Staff are friendly and personal touches such as dropping us to the station for the onward journey was much appreciated. '

'I loved our huge room with private balcony onsen and the Japanese design of the room. Very friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner were really good and for us more than sufficient in quantity. They have a rotating set of 3 different dinners, so day 4 = day 1, but for us that was fine. Bed was a bit on the hard side but I got used to it.'

'Hotel is a bit off the beaten tourist track, but worth it for a quiet visit. Great value for money and the host is so kind!! I was traveling solo and felt very welcome and safe. Easy walk to the abyss. By far one of the best dinners and breakfasts I had in Japan!!'

It was wonderful to be able to have dinner at the inn, where we dined 3 of our 4 nights. The food was delicious and the portions large. The location was out of the commercial district but close to bus stop #14. '

'Meer een aangename maar duur jeugd hostel. lang geleden dat ze receptie/eetgedeelte nog eens hebben onderhouden. Badkamer/toilet is heel klein. Eigenaars / staf zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam maar voor dit type jeugdherberg is de prijs vrij hoog in vergelijking met hotels.'
