'I loved my stay at the smoke lake hot springs ,staff we very helpful awsome hospitality rooms were very clean. The staff were very busy with there daily chaos but still had time to make sure all there customers were happy. 'Great location, close to beach and cafes, very tidy room and well equipped kitchen, only downfall I would mention was there was construction in opposite building directly outside our balcony and spanned one side of the entire property that was very noisy and they where pouring tar (or something very Similar) which smelt very bad and we had to keep all doors closed as the smell would become unbearable, we would not have booked if we knew this level of construction was happening outside our...

'One of the best places i have stayed in New Zealand!
Staff were amazing and very friendly.
The best mattress - a proper mattress- ive had during my trip. The mattress was soft enough, not like a board, a full sized queen (not two singles pushed together) and was lower to the ground.
Bathroom clean and tidy. Nice thick towels. The shortbread in the kitchenette was delightful.
Very close to local shops and cafes. Two doors down you have a range of food choices.

'Booked for my wife and daughter and discovered that the hotel charges $79 for two people for breakfast! This is just absolute robbery - they were rushing to a competition with no other options so just paid. Not the experience you would expect for so much money, in fact the breakfast was extremely average -less than we've had at free breakfast hotels. 'I didn't realise we would be entering through a shared facility to our unit. This was a little confusing, although once I made contact with the manager, it was smooth entry from there. The unit was spotlessly clean and met all our needs. This facility would be great for large family trips where there is shared space and more private units also. I would recommend this and would definitely stay again.'
