Greeted at the airport by Kenny, we were off to Howler House. As promised, a troop of Black Howler monkeys peered down at us from the trees as we arrived!.
Howler House is a rustic, but well appointed cottage in the tiny town over-looking the Belize river.
The property managers, Kenny and his wife Shana were excellent hosts. They arranged all of our excursions for cave tubing, Mayan ruins, monkey reserve, and a tour to San Ignacio. All tours included transportation, personal guide, and lunch.
If you are interested in seeing Belize as it's residents live it, this is your ticket.
The cottage had everything we needed, and we loved that we were surrounded by porches, both screened and unscreened, to view our wild neighbors. Toucans, parrots, Coati, Howlers, we saw them all.
Tho prepared for mosquitos, it has been dry, and they were blessedly absent. The cottage is exactly as pictured, and included reliable WiFi, in case you want to stay connected.
