'There's a petrol station not far. But definitely need a car'

'Id you’re looking for a peaceful escape in the heart of the English countryside, Rose cottage is absolute perfection! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by its storybook setting, surrounded by rolling Hills, wildflowers, and the soft sound of the River Wye. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained, blending, rustic character with thoughtful modern touches. You can tell every detail from the cozy fireplace to the well stocked kitchen was arranged with care.We enjoyed coffee in the...

'We had a lovely time staying for a week with our German shepherd dog. Perfect base for exploring the peaks. We really enjoyed the dog wash and private garden space.'

'We booked for two nights at this cottage but unfortunately, our experience was so bad that we left after the first night and went home. 'Hope Cross was excellent and a great base for our few days exploring the Dales. The property is kitted out to a really high standard and was very comfortable. A power cut caused a problem with the central heating and the hosts couldn't have done more to get things sorted - we were very grateful. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly go back.'

'Hi This is a lovely, quiet little cottage. It was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and has very effective heating (we visited in November). We appreciated all the guide books and large collection of books and games. The stairs might be a bit steep for some, but otherwise the cottage was excellent and we would be happy to stay there again.'

'Quiet location on a small farm (29 acres) just outside Buxton. Very well equipped kitchen and good internet/wifi. Friendly helpful owners who live on-site. Great location and a base for the Peak District walks plus there is a nice walk from Cowdale farm to King Sterndale. If you’re into climbing there is a rock face used by climbers less than 500 metres from the accommodation.'
