'Beautiful, uniquely designed cabin amid lush rainforest plantings. We especially enjoyed the deck to hang out on ( even in frequent showers). And neighborhood pheasants were a particular pleasure! Quiet and peaceful base for Kona explorations.'

'Very well appointed, a lot of thought has gone into the complete renovation of this cottage. Clean and comfortable with a great vibe. Yes, there are more than a few chickens, but you are in the country in a lovely location. Would stay again without hesitation.'

'We love this home! It truly is a water-lover’s paradise. You cannot really get a better location, on Ali’i drive but just south of the most busy areas. Lots of nearby surfing and snorkeling. Next to a preserve filled will birds, plants and wildlife. Amazing grocery and food options at Keahou shopping center just a few minutes away, and local spots for poke and a mini mart within walking distance. It’s worth it just for the view from the lanai, which looks directly into an undeveloped woodland...

'Lovely place to stay. 1 really tall bed was an adventure to jump into but was fun being so high up off of the ground. The home was really clean and it was a really nice touch with the gift pack. The balcony is really lovely spot early mornings and evenings to chill out on too. '

'Gabe and Andrea were very available and ready to help when needed. The home is so beautiful and comfortable to stay in. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and there are all kinds of beach chairs snorkeling and an umbrella for the beach. All accommodations were perfect in other words!'

'It was a nice condo. Relaxing and spacious for family of 6. Everything was functional. The steep road to the condo was a surprise, but manageable. Short walk to pebble beach, with perfect sunset and a small trail along the shore. Only we didn't expect that much mosquitos in Feb. '

'This cottage was just want we wanted, a quiet retreat in a rainforest. You could hear birds in the trees all day and frogs at night. We loved hanging out on the covered deck which was nice when it was raining. The hosts had everything we needed, lists of gear for kids and the beach. We will definitely be back with our kid sometime. Hosts were super helpful when google maps gave us incorrect directions.'

'Great little cottage for a Big Island stay. Very comfortable bed, wonderful open-air veranda. Kitchen is a little bit long in the tooth, but well equipped. Would stay there again on future trips.'

'The location of this listing is amazing. Directly across the street from the water- we were able to sit out on the porch every morning and watch the surf lessons in action. It's only a short walk down the street to Kahalu'u Beach park where there is also a lot of snorkeling. The house itself was fairly comfortable- the dishwasher was not accessible as the fridge was covering a portion of the dishwasher door. This didn't matter to us as much as we just washed what dishes we used by hand....

'Place was perfect for my husband and I…owner was great to work with and provided everything we needed plus more….if you have a small family this may work for you but two couples this place might not work for you…only one bathroom which is downstairs and no dishwasher but we still loved the place. Are going back for the next several years if we can….'

'This romantic seaside cottage lived up to it's claims. We loved the view, the art, the garden, and the lanai! Its well stocked with beach stuff and day trip supplies as well as games, books and movies. It's perfectly situated between great beaches on the kona side and the volcano park on the hilo side.'

'This is the perfect place for a quiet family getaway. House has everything you could ask for with comfortable beds and pillows. Full kitchen with spices on hand. Game room and dvds on first floor. Incredible views from balcony and snorkeling sets, kayaks, boogie boards etc. Private, primitive snorkeling site that can be reached scrambling over lava rocks (stairs washed out)- Not for small kiddos or anyone needing assistance, but most people would have no problem, especially since it’s so private...

'Wow, the house was located smack on the water, the sunsets were stunning, it felt like a slice of paradise. The quiet location was a great "de-stressing" get-away for all of us. Spacious, clean and well stocked, it felt like home the minute we walked in. Carl and Deb were great hosts!'

'Check in was snow, the room guaranteed by 4:00 pm, I was there at 3:40pm and they won’t let us to the room till 4:00pm, this resort didn’t provide shampoo and conditioner, it is kind of weir.'
