'We have stayed at Brennecke's Beach Cottage many times before and have always enjoyed our stay. The cottage has always been clean at our time of arrival. However, this time we were surprised by the many fun additions that have been made, such as a new, safer staircase with handrails leading to the front door, indoor fans in each room, and a new walk-in shower in the primary bathroom. 'Stunning views, peaceful, private and quiet. Well stocked kitchen, bathroom, laundry. Enjoyed the additional outdoor shower. Good grill. Kitty was sweet and we enjoyed the little geckos. Very clean overall, but outdoor kitchen cabinets and drawers, as well as the oven & broiler could have used a bit more cleaning. '

'Great location close to Volcanoes National Park and Volcano village. The cabin is charming and comfortable and tucked into the most beautiful cloud forest. We loved the fireplace in the evenings after a day out hikingClose to Lanakai Brewing, a great spot for beer and pizza. '

'The host, the place, the beach, the breezes caressing us and the ocean waves lulling us to sleep were far beyond what we could have imagined. Jackie went above and beyond preparing a well-stocked pantry, sparkling clean home and stunning touches of her eye for beauty throughout the entire condo. We couldn't imagine anything better: the long, safe, and beautiful beach, the turtles, the peace, the quiet, the lovely pool ...so much. Thank you for a beautiful 2 days. '

'The ground-floor cottage is part of a four-unit complex. There are three complexes and they are adjacent to a 9-story condominium building. The sandy beach is right in front of the cottage and if you are lucky, you may see green turtles resting in the morning by the shore. The unit is very well furnished (beach towels, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, surf boards, kitchen). There is no a/c but there are plenty of fans so we felt comfortable. 'Lehua looked great in the add and was far better in person. We loved our stay-and seriously considered asking if we could stay longer. “LLC” had everything we needed and more-we were able to cook all our meals in a delightfully comfortable setting. Coqui frogs, though invasive, were a lovely treat to fall asleep to at night. We were unbelievably close to Volcanoes NP, for the fountaining lava and close enough to summit Mauna Kea! 'We loved the privacy this place had. The beautiful back patio where we spent a lot of our mornings and evenings. It was a little further walk to the ocean than I anticipated but wasn’t too far. We loved our stay!'
