'We stayed in the cottage and it was exceedingly charming and comfortable. Staff were truly kind and gracious, and we had two great meals at the main restaurant. The nature trail on the property was a nice bonus. Great location near the national park and close to other restaurants, too. Staying at the Kilauea Lodge was the highlight of our trip.'

The lodging is nestled in a neighborhood, but it feels almost like a jungle. The shower is outside and is reasonably private. 'Staying at the lava temple was truly a spiritual and unique experience. We fell asleep to the sounds of nature and woke up to a beautiful sun rise over the lava fields. Couldn’t recommend more for a get away!'

'Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava).
