'Cool experience. The best part was just taking in all of the lava formations. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was quite nice. Couch was a little uncomfortable, but no biggie. Thankful we had the opportunity to stay here and have such an interesting experience. The stars were amazing. We actually saw the end of the rainbow while staying here and also a moon bow while staying here. We walked the lava to the cliff. That was awesome. '

Exactly as described and pictured, nothing more or less, for the price it's 10/10; easy late arrival access with gate key code and cabin door code ; soothing coqui frogs all night after the neighborhood dogs settle in. somewhat thin walls with neighboring cabin, maybe bring earplugs'

'Christine is very communicative and this is a one of a kind property! The cats ate the best and the thoughtfulness of the design is top notch. We loved all of the ideas about where to go and what to do as well. We had to work a little to figure out how to cool down the rooms quickly but that was more us than the property :). You really felt like you got away from it all!'

'Our stay at Hale Hapu‘u was brief, but lovely! It’s a great spot, easy access to lots of areas of the island. The cottage was warm and inviting. My only (very minor) feedback is that compared to other spots we stayed for similar pricing, the kitchen amenities felt a little lacking. It was great for a short stay, but I think we’d have struggled with the size of the sink and a mini-fridge if we had been there much longer than a day or two. But that’s a small thing that didn’t impact us this time...
