'To be at Villa Cofresi any time around sunset is to be in paradise. This was always a fun hotel with great service but, after the terrible destruction of Hurricane Maria, they completed a restoration that made it beautiful, as well. 'The room was very large and the kitchen had all the amenities needed for cooking and groceries. Loved the screened in balcony and the pool. The staff, especially Grace, was amazing! We appreciated the daily shuttles to the beach and the activities they offered at the resort. The location was perfect! The public bus was super easy to use. 'Beautiful historic building that is now a hotel, the rooms are a bit dated, I expected a bit newer standard in the elements of the room. The location is perfect for sightseeing the most iconic parts of Santo Domingo. The staff is very friendly and service was excellent, food was very good as well and we would stay again if we are to visit Santo Domingo again. Great fast check in, fast check out, well run hotel. '
