'Although it is very early season, the whole resort was not completely open. Especially the dining venues. We were basically left to 2 choices fo dining. Of the 2, we dined in the grill area. The food was just ok. They didnt use real butter to grill the bread, instead using the fake oil stuff which is awful to begin with. It transfers the burned flavor of sitting out the grill too long then the grill metallic tastes transfers to the bread. (I know this because i was a chef for many years)'

'Quick overnight stay with my two older kids. Staff is fantastic at this hotel. The hotel is on the smaller side which is a bonus, still has all the good stuff: clean pool and hut tub, great breakfast buffet, all day coffee and hot water available. Despite a full house- it was quiet and restful. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. It's a great location to the town itself and surrounding fun areas. Would absolutely stay here again and again.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge on Detroit Lake. The staff was genuinely helpful and pleasant. The Lodge is steps from the lake and the back faces west, I can imagine it's a beautiful sight on an evening with a colorful sunset!'
