Charming home near Lake Michigan, bike paths, and high school

This peaceful and elegant five-bedroom, three-bathroom home is situated three minutes by car from Lake Michigan, a ten-minute walk from downtown Lake Forest, and a two-minute walk from LFHS. With its comfortable layout and spacious living room with a fireplace and view that looks out to a beautiful backyard patio and garden, it is the perfect place to unwind and relax while taking in the beauty of Lake Forest. If you enjoy biking/jogging, the McClory Bike Path is directly across the street and is a wonderful way to explore the cities along Chicago's North Shore. For the urban explorers, Lake Forest's commuter rail station is less than 1 mile away, offering easy transit to and from Chicago. In this quiet and tranquil part of Lake Forest, which is the perfect distance from the village's downtown, you can experience the best that Lake County has to offer. For those that enjoy cooking at home, a basic kitchen setup, including pots and pans, is available. Moreover, for those visiting for graduation ceremonies or to enjoy events hosted by Lake Forest High School and Lake Forest College, this is an ideal vacation spot. Our backyard will be perfectly set up with 2 large couches, sun umbrella, wood burning pit, bean bag throwing game. The bed sizes for each of the rooms is available in the bedroom description category and pictures for the bedrooms are also included with the photos of the property. Badminton and tennis rackets are also available to visit local courts. The house is not child-proof for small children. We look forward to having you as our guests!

Perfect Weekend

A group of friends met in Chicago to head to Ravinia for a few nights. House was perfect for us! Enough beds and baths, great kitchen to cook, beautiful outdoor space and close to run to grocery store. We will be back!

Lake Forest College Graduation Weekend

Our family was able to stay and celebrate together in a clean and very well appointed home. We had everything we needed and most importantly all of the grad’s family was able to be together. We had plenty of beds and bathrooms and proximity to town was so convenient. Lana was a lovely hostess who made sure we were comfortable and was available to answer any questions.

Good choice in Lake Forest

Came to Chicago for a family reunion and selected to stay at Lake Forest. The house we stayed was perfect for the size of my family (7 adults and 1 child) and it was located in an excellent neighborhood. Also the property contact was very nice and attentive to all of our needs. Lana was wonderful Highly recommend the property.

Great spot!

Perfect for our family for a family wedding. Was glad we needed only 4 bedrooms, as the 5th you had to walk through another bedroom and bathroom to access.

Nice home in beautiful Lake Forest

We rented this home as a convenient location to stay for our daughter’s wedding. It worked perfectly for bridal party preparations and hosting family members for an informal gathering. Lana, the homeowner responded with great care and made sure our needs were met all along the way. We were very pleased with our experience here.

We loved this place!

It's an adorable house in a very cute location. We really enjoyed how close it is to everything. The owner was great at communicating and everything was stocked, exactly what we needed. The house is so cute and the backyard was fun to hang out in. And it was much bigger than we expected! I have two children under eight and they enjoyed this house as well.

Great Family Get Together

This charming house was perfect for a my siblings and I. Enough bedrooms for us all, and the living room was so spacious. Everything was as pictured with many additional treats. It was such a great location - close to my niece who lives in Lake Forest, as well as the beach, the trails, the restaurants and shops in the cute little town - it was perfect! Our host was most communicative and accommodating. Thanks Lana for making our family get together one we will always remember!

Lake forest

Lana’s place in Lake Forest was the perfect place to visit our family in Waukegan but close enough to use the train and visit Chicago. There was plenty of room at the house for us to host dinner a few times which was amazing for our little reunion. Our host was also very accommodating and was awesome at communicating. This place is also very walkable to the Market square that has restaurants and shops! We also visited the beach only 25 mins away. The house was perfect for our amount of people and dogs and had everything we needed to have a good time.

Nice Gem near center of Lake Forest

Everything from the location to Lana’s level of communication was perfect. This is a great spot to easily walk into town, short drive to a great beach, and easy access from the major highways. We were there for soccer games in Waukeegan and am happy we stayed here over incredibly overpriced hotels. The main living area is great for a larger group to hang. Outdoor space nice. Great grill for home cooking. Great for a couple of families with several bedrooms. Will stay again if we’re back this way. Thanks again Lana!

Beautiful home with lovely backyard in great area

We traveled to the Chicago area to attend my daughter's graduation from Navy recruit training. The home's location was perfect as it was a short, 10 minute drive to Great Lakes. The home was more than large enough to accommodate my family of five adults comfortably. The beds were very comfortable, as was the home. The kitchen was well apportioned to meet our cooking needs. The backyard provided a wonderful, relaxing area for our family to congregate and relax. Lana was very responsible to our inquiries and very accommodating to our requests. I highly recommend this home if you're looking for a comfortable place to stay in the Great Lakes area.
