Ontspannende Oak Park Bungalow

Bungalow Park. Deze charmante Oak Park Bungalow biedt een rustige ontspannen omgeving om te ontspannen na een drukke dag van bezienswaardigheden bekijken in Chicago of genieten van de historische schoonheid van Oak Park.
Het huis is vernieuwd maar heeft nog steeds zijn historische charme. De locatie plaatst je 4 blokken van de trein naar het centrum van Chicago. Met auto bent u binnen 15 minuten op de hoogte. Oak Park biedt een veilige wandelgemeenschap. Krijg op korte loopafstand live entertainment, restaurants of historische rondleidingen.

Zakenreizigers met een langdurige opdracht zullen merken dat de woning als thuis voelt. Volledig ingericht en benoemd.

Het huis wordt omgezet in twee eenheden: het hoofdhuis en een tuinappartement met één slaapkamer met een achteringang. De woning / huurruimte is twee verdiepingen met twee slaapkamers op de bovenste verdieping. De gastheer bezet deeltijds de tuineenheid met één slaapkamer. Dus eventuele problemen worden snel aangepakt.

Alle slaapkamers zijn geschikt voor 2 personen. De totale gastcapaciteit is 6 maar biedt plaats aan maximaal 8 gasten. Locatie, locatie, locatie; gemakkelijke toegang tot de snelweg, loop naar de trein of geniet gewoon van een rustige nacht na een dag en avond genieten van Chicago.

My husband and I and our two adult sons came to Oak Park for a funeral and then a long weekend together. The house worked very well for us - three bedrooms and a roomy living room, dining room and kitchen. The neighborhood is wonderful - we walked to the Friendly Coffee Lounge every morning and had a quick drive to restaurants on Madison and Lake Streets. Our son swam in lap pool at nearby Rehm Park, and we squeezed in a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright home.

Wonderful place to stay!

This is a great place - a real Oak Park classic Craftsman house with original design features, lovingly maintained and updated where it matters. Our stay happened to coincide with a freak heatwave, and in spite of mid-90s temperatures and soupy humidity for most of the week, we were always cool and comfortable in the house. The neighborhood is safe and cheerful, with lots of interesting houses and well-tended gardens - just a really nice atmosphere. And the location is super-convenient: everything we needed was within walking distance, with Downtown Chicago is just a short drive away. Ray, our host, was extremely responsive and friendly. Would happily stay again!

Lovely Weekend Getaway

Charming home just far away enough from the city to give a nice neighborhood vibe but close enough to drive in for sight-seeing. Our host met us at the house to point out different aspects of the residence and was able to give us tips about the surrounding area as well as transportation accomodations. Would highly recommend!

Great suburban location

If you don't mind driving or taking the train into Chicago, this spot was great. Lots of character in the little old house, and we could tell the owner was putting in a lot of effort to maintain its charm. The neighborhood is fantastic too...walking or a short drive to grocery, great restaurants, parks, etc. Would stay again!

The property owner Ray was friendly, accommodating and very polite and responsive to all our needs. He met us on arrival to ensure a smooth arrival and explained where everything was and how to access all we needed. Ray is quick to respond to all inquiries and nothing is too much bother. Excellent spot for lollapalooza!

Wanted a place to stay outside of Chicago for lollapalooza and this place did not disappoint! The house is gorgeous and in a great neighborhood. We walked to at least two different playgrounds and I felt very safe going out for runs. It was easy to walk to the train station and ride into the city. The host is also very friendly and gave us great local food recommendations.

Our stay in this "Relaxing Oak Park Home" lived up to every one of our expectations. Our host Ray was super-helpful and informative before, during and after our stay. He was available and communicative when we needed him and conveniently several blocks away at his own home in the same neighborhood when we didn't. This handsome Craftsman-style Bungalow provides those that appreciate this style with a genuine experience of simplicity and minimalism typified by the early 20th century Arts & Crafts movement. At the same time, the modern decor, furnishings, appliances and fixtures blend well with the Craftsman aesthetic and vibe, providing guests with all the early 21st century conveniences expected in other VRBO listings. If you crave a quiet, relaxing stay in a safe and family-friendly neighborhood, within a short 5-10 minute walk to various amenities and local businesses in the vibrant Oak Park, Berman and Forest Park shopping districts, or a 25 minute drive or 40 minute train ride to downtown, this property is for you.

Great place, just one suggestion

The house was great, comfortable, clean and convenient. Ray was friendly and responsive. The only issue was that the sheets and towels were washed in a very perfume-y detergent and we’d have preferred fragrance free.

Perfect for our stay

We were in town for a long weekend to attend a k-pop concert at the United Center. This house was perfect not only because it was just a few driving minutes from the concert, but is located in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. The CTA, grocery store, and places to dine were all within a few blocks radius. Raymond met us when we arrived and he quickly responded to any questions we had. The house was beautiful and cozy and I would definitely stay here again!
