'Swallow's Rest West was just delightful, and the perfect base for our visit to Longwood Gardens. It was so creatively decorated, had all the amenities needed, and was clean and comfortable. Our host Henry was wonderful. Only thing I would have changed was having an operating window on the upper floor, to let in some fresh, cool air at night. But this was just a minor issue. I would still highly recommend this property.'

'The place was as advertised and was perfect for our weekend. We were in town for a wedding nearby and the location out us about 10 minutes from the wedding venue and also to the hotels where others were staying. Only complaint is that it is close to railroad tracks and a road so bring a white noise machine to drown out the sounds at night.'

'Our stay in Bear was very nice. The apartment was well stocked and very clean. The location was in a very nice neighborhood and my wife enjoyed jogging in the morning. Plenty of access to nearby grocery stores, restaurants and pharmacies/convenience stores. Uber trips to UD were also convenient and it was a 15-20 ride to campus. We would stay here again.'

Unit was as advertised down to the T… fast wifi responsive host (in case you need assistance) location near multiple restaurants/points of interest. 'We had a 5 star stay this past weekend as we were in town to see WrestleMania in Philly. It was nice to stay out of the city but somewhere that still was close to everything! Jeff was very kind and was available for any help or questions. We loved the wallpaper and the bed was very comfortable. We plan to come back again!'

'Three of us stayed at this property over the Christmas holiday. It is spacious, spotless and very comfortable. It couldn't have been more convenient - just five minutes away from our family's gathering place. The hosts provided plenty of amenities, including lots of very nice towels. Additional perks were a huge variety of coffee and tea selections. Highly recommend these hosts and their property! Would definitely stay there again.'

'The best feature of the property was it's location. We wanted to visit historic sights in the Brandywine Valley area and all were within less than 15 miles. The lodgings were large, clean and well maintained. The only issue we experienced was the sliding glass door entrance. It was difficult at times to lock and unlock. The door needs to be replaced. It would make sense to have some brochures, pamphlets, etc of some of the places to visit in the apartment for those visitors who aren't familiar...

'Beautifully renovated/decorated loft in a very interesting old carriage house. This was a great place to stay for our visit to Kennett Square. We would stay here again, for sure.'

'Great location near White Clay Creek park. Pictures of the deck and grill were deceiving since they are not easily accessible from rental unit (walk on steep sloped lawn with no walkway, climb stairs and located right outside of owners living room). Smoke from upstairs drifted into downstairs rental unit. I closed all the ceiling vents and it helped. My fault for not checking that there was no dishwasher. Be aware of excess fees in total price.'

We especially enjoyed using the fire pit while sitting in the comfortable Adirondack chairs overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. The owners were friendly and great to work with. Highly recommend!'
