'We went back and forth about booking due to the reviews and I’m so glad we just went ahead and booked. It’s definitely a good old northern cabin on the lake, outdated, and some spider webs. But, the lake was nice, nice dock, fire pit cozy, beds were comfy and we had a great time! Would definitely rebook if we find ourselves in the area again.'

'We wanted to take a quick weekend trip to Duluth and we found this cabin. We loved it! Our dog came with and made friends with the neighbor’s dog. The lake was beautiful and we loved walking down the gravel street! The owner and maintenance person responded very quickly.'

'This place is a lesson in history. So many antique items and modern appliances! The bedrooms were nice and spacious and the living quarters are amazing! So many things to look at and the bridge to the little house on the island are very cute! The flowers were blooming and the outdoor property is well kept and sitting on the deck and looking at the flowers, water, and bridge was beautiful! There were 6 friends staying and it was spacious enough for all. I would recommend this cabin for a getaway...

'Our family had a great stay at this fabulous home! Very well appointed and updated. Nest towels, beds and kitchen gear of any place we’ve ever stayed. The lake is right out the back and very beautiful! It is also not busy which we loved. The kayaks were very fun- lots of beautiful wildlife. We will definitely be back!'

'This is the first time that we booked with VRBO. I was pleasantly surprised with all the amenities and supplies at the house. I brought my own coffee and found out that they had some in the house. The WiFi was excellent as my husband and I also logged into work a little bit each day. We didn't do any water activities as we felt it was too cold. 'What a wonderful long weekend! The home is great and equipped with everything we needed. The kids had a great time fishing and swimming off the dock. The fire pit was a favorite hang out spot. We brought ATVs and were able to get on a path about a mile down the road that went to the Pit. Great spot for ATVs and dirt bikes.'

'My wife and I stayed with our son over the Easter weekend. The cabin is clean, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is everything you need to cook all 3 meals a day there if you wanted. The lake is only about 50 feet from the door. Sadly, it was still early in the season so it was too chilly for us to play in the lake, but I bet it's really nice in the summer. '

'It was great for our family of four. The kids loved the loft "bridge," and appreciated that there was enough space for us all to separate if we needed to. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The location is great; far enough away from towns to feel like you're away, and near enough to not spend all day driving to parks or the store. The host was appropriately communicative, gave great directions, and answered our questions promptly. We hope to come back to this cabin again!'
