I do wish I had not noticed that the floor was not properly swept (corners of room) but I didn’t think it was a massive problem. They provided complimentary drinks from the room’s mini fridge and the lobby had a pretty cool coffee machine that was available at all hours and was kept very tidy and neat. "Het is een heerlijk hotel, met mooie kamers! Het klopt gewoon. Wel jammer dat het restaurant in de verbouwing was, was goed geweest omdat dat bij boeking te vermelden. Ze hadden overigens op een andere plaats in het hotel een restaurant en bar gemaakt."
"Pension op unieke locatie midden in het oude centrum/uitgaansgebied van Donostia/San Sebastián. Het ligt op korte loopafstand van het strand (5 min.) en ook het nieuwere gedeelte van San Sebastián is niet ver te voet of met openbaar vervoer. De hotelkamer die wij hadden was uitgerust met een klein keukentje met alle benodigdheden erin (pannen, borden en andere benodigdheden). Verder had de kamer een geblindeerde raam en dus geen uitzicht op de straat maar wel een plat dak/terras (zonder meubels). Al met al een fijn pension. Let op geen kinderen onder 11 toegestaan, voor ons werd een uitzondering gemaakt omdat ze er te laat achterkwamen."

Badkamer was donker zonder raam en zonder afzuiging. Plavond was geel van waterschades. Elke spoeling van een toilet of douche was goed te horen. Ontbijt is absoluut geen aanrader. Positief is de top locatie en heel vriendelijk personeel aan de receptie."

The rooms ar clean but very sober, which is in contrast with the beautiful lobby. There is one chair in the room and it is very uncomfortable.
I received one bottle of water for my entire stay. I’ve been travelling for many years now and can’t recall a hotel that doesn’t give its guests one bottle a day. It’s all in the details.
No detail was the breakfast service. I think there are better breakfast options to be found in the neighborhood. The staff at breakfast hardly speak any english, menu is in Spanish and no explanation of how things work is given. I heard one guest ordering a spicy omelet with lots of ingredients. The chef gave him a bottle of Tabasco and served a standard omelet. People were seated at tables that weren’t prepared. They went looking for glasses and cuttlery themselves. The manager of the breakfastroom didn’t seem to care and quite frankly, wasn’t very nice to guests either. A smile and ‘hello’ would go a long way."
